[DO YOU WISH TO ENABLE MOD]
"Enable"
The interface flickered, and a Mod appeared.
[CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE OBTAINED MOD "HEXTECH"]
"Hextech Mod? What kind of Mod is this? It sounds interesting. Is it a technology-based Mod?"
Ian then began to check the Mod description.
[HEXTECH MOD]
[WILL UNLOCK HEXTECH ENHANCEMENTS WHEN CONDITIONS ARE MET]
[THIS WORLD'S ENERGY VALUE WILL NO LONGER UNLOCK MODS. MEETING CONDITIONS WILL UNLOCK NEW HEXTECHS]
[HEXTECH ENHANCEMENT CHOICE IS THREE-OUT-OF-ONE. REFRESH COUNT *2]
[CURRENTLY SELECTABLE HEXTECH *1]
"This Mod is not bad," Ian couldn't help but exclaim. 'There really is every kind of Mod in Minecraft.' He then looked at the selectable Hextechs on the screen.
Ian took out a few bottles of High-Grade Luck Potion and chugged them all down. He then opened the Hextech selection page, and three options popped up.
[SMALL BUT LETHAL]: Size reduced by 50%. Movement Speed and Attack Speed increased by 30%.
"What trash?" Although the 30% increase in Attack Speed and Movement Speed was good, reducing his size by 50% would make him less than a block tall. Looking closely, it was confirmed to be trash.
Second: [BIRTHDAY PRESENT]: Gain an Orb on your birthday every year, which can grant an uncertain amount of Gold.
"Gold? Are you kidding me? Do I lack that stuff?" Ian, who possessed nearly infinite money, skipped this trash Hextech without hesitation. It might be acceptable if it could grant something else.
The third option flickered: [CREST OF FAMILY]: Grants the Family trait upon selection, allowing you to convert friendly units into Family members.
"This is kind of interesting..." He pondered slightly. "But the limitation to 'friendly units' is too restrictive. If only I could directly turn enemies into Family members?"
Ian decided to refresh once to see if there was anything better. He then refreshed [BIRTHDAY PRESENT], and a new Hextech appeared.
[MINI-GIANT]: Size reduced, Movement Speed increased, and recover 2 Health per second.
Reduced size again? Ian was speechless. "That's it? Who is 2 Health per second enough for?" Given his current recovery ability, this amount of Health was negligible.
After refreshing again, a new Hextech appeared—[PORTABLE FORGE]: Choose one of four Ornn Artifacts.
"Four Ornn Artifacts to choose from? This is great! Looks like the Luck Potions weren't wasted." Ian selected [PORTABLE FORGE] without hesitation.
He decided to gamble while his luck was good.
The four Artifacts appeared before Ian in rotation.
First: Mithril Dawn: Attack Power increased by 165%, Armor and Magic Resistance increased by 50. Immune to Stun. Attacks can cause Stun. Attack Speed locked at twice per second.
"Not bad. This Equipment is very strong. I just wonder if the Attack Speed lock counts as a negative effect and if I can be immune to it."
Second: Hullbreaker. Increased damage, Health, and dual resistance when no friendly units are nearby.
"Emmm... It's decent."
Third: Spirit Visage. Increased Maximum Health, increased Magic Resistance, and restores 3.5% Maximum Health per second.
"This one is great!" Although Ian's recovery ability was already strong, who could refuse percentage-based recovery?
Ian was already leaning towards choosing this one. If the fourth option wasn't good, he would take Spirit Visage directly.
The moment the fourth Equipment appeared, Ian immediately selected it. Hesitating for even a second would be disrespectful to this Equipment.
Fourth: Warmog's Armor. Upgraded from Heartsteel. Enhanced Heartsteel's base stats and retained Heartsteel's passive: Colossal Suppressor!
When enemy Heroes are within 10 meters, it can charge for 3 seconds and launch an Enhanced Attack. The Charged Attack deals 100 (+10% of Health from all Equipment) bonus Physical Damage and grants the user 12% of that damage as permanent Maximum Health. Each target has a 30-second cooldown.
In short, it allows for infinitely stacking the Maximum Health cap. The more Health you have, the faster you stack, and the faster you stack, the more Health you get, eventually lifting yourself straight to heaven by pulling on your own bootstraps.
"Hahaha, my Luck Potion was definitely not wasted!"
"Question the Steel Gate, understand the Steel Gate, join the Steel Gate, the Steel Gate endures forever!"
Ian immediately sold the Warmog's Armor into the Transmutation Tablet, then retrieved and equipped it in his Terraria Equipment Slot.
On the other side, Ian in the Void, hearing the "dinging" sound in his ears and seeing the gray circular marks appearing above the Void Monsters' heads, could no longer restrain himself. He charged directly into the cluster of Void Monsters and started stacking (kai gang)!
After getting the Artifact, Ian looked around the Temple once more, confirmed there was nothing else to take, and instantly disappeared.
Ian teleported out and was almost nauseated by the surrounding stench. The ground was uneven, covered in foul-smelling sewage, mixed with multicolored Alchemy fluids.
In the distance, the buildings were crooked and distorted, with exposed steel lattice structures. Strange-shaped light bulbs hung on the walls, flashing an unsettling green Alchemy light.
Pipe networks were arbitrarily laid out, spewing green smoke and continuously polluting the surrounding environment.
"This must be Zaun!" Some places you knew where they were with a single glance. Ian felt that Zaun was no better than the lower levels of a Warhammer Hive City.
He hadn't walked far when several malicious gazes fixed on him. Ian smiled. 'Isn't this the classic American street robbery scenario? I have to experience it.'
"I must properly experience the 'warm hospitality' of Zaun today!"
He deliberately slowed his pace and walked into a secluded alley. The alley was narrow and long, with walls covered in stains and dried blood, emitting a disgusting moldy smell.
Reaching the end of the alley, Ian stopped, waiting quietly.
Sure enough, after a moment, a few guys rushed in from the alley entrance, holding a chaotic mix of weapons—rusty machetes, sharpened steel pipes—each of them looking vicious and menacing.
"Heh heh, kid, you're smart. You knew you couldn't run and waited here obediently to die!" The leader, a Hooligan with a long scar running from the corner of his eye to his chin, smirked fiercely.
The other Hooligans followed with strange laughs, their eyes looking at Ian as if they weren't looking at a living person.
"Go!" At Scarface's command, the Hooligans brandished their weapons and lunged at Ian.
Zaun's Hooligans didn't waste much time. They didn't bother asking for money. They believed in direct murder and theft—simple, brutal, and focused on efficiency.
Ian looked at the aggressive group with a face full of question marks. 'Why didn't you follow the procedure and just attack?'
"But it's been a long time since I've seen people this bold. Are you rushing to reincarnate?"
Before his words finished, Ian's shadow suddenly seemed to come alive, rapidly extending countless Tentacles to wrap around the Hooligans.
"Ah! What the hell is this thing!"
"Help! Let me go!"
The Hooligans immediately struggled desperately, but the Tentacles tightened even more.
Piercing screams echoed in the alley, making people's scalps crawl.
But the screams didn't scare anyone else away. A few people lingering near the alley entrance stopped when they heard the noise and hid in various spots.
They showed no fear, their eyes instead flashing with greedy light.
"When they come out, we'll go in and pick up the leftovers!"
"We need to search carefully this time. Maybe we can find something good!"
This was Zaun. When they heard screams, their first thought wasn't to run away but to search the corpses for valuables.
This was Zaun, a place where the strong preyed on the weak, with no order to speak of. Here, death was easy, and survival was the biggest challenge. Here, kindness was a luxury; only the fist was the undeniable truth.
