Cherreads

Chapter 81 - Spouse

A few days later, the red dragons gradually began to cooperate with the Dragonmaw Clan under duress, becoming mounts for these filthy orcs.

Even with reluctant cooperation, coordination and adaptation were needed, so a large number of orcs began to try riding the red dragons for training.

The result was that the proud and untamed red dragons threw them from high altitudes, sending them crashing onto the broken ice.

The more 'dumplings' dropped, the more irritable Nekros became. Besides killing the red dragons that returned, he would question the red dragon queen.

"Your Majesty, it seems you are very unwilling to cooperate with us?"

Alexstrasza was too tired to even lift an eyelid. She was so exhausted lately that she didn't even want to speak a word; lifting an eyelid was already a sign of respect.

Arthas was even more tired. Being a person was hard; being a dragon was even harder.

"I'm busy laying dragon eggs. If you don't even have this much capability, how do you expect to be a Warchief?"

"If word gets out, do you think Orgrim will laugh his teeth out?"

"The queen has given her orders, but whether other red dragons assist you depends on your own ability."

These words made Nekros even more furious. They had indeed cooperated, but such matters still depended on his ability to tame the red dragons.

The most important thing was his pride. If he couldn't even handle this small matter, how could he aspire to be a Warchief?

He might as well go to bed!

Don't embarrass yourself.

Hoo hoo!

The ugly orc's nostrils were still twitching, and he was panting heavily, clearly seething with anger.

"Do you think I have no other way? I'll just kill both of you!"

Look, he's desperate!

Arthas yawned, resting his head on his paw, which made sleeping more comfortable.

"Do as you please. The red dragons will not perish. If you dare to touch me and the queen, you will have to endure the wrath of the four-colored Great dragons."

"blue dragons, bronze dragons, Green dragons, and black dragons, hehe, we don't care, but the Great dragon's servants are enough to wipe out your clan. If you're not afraid of death, come. Two dragons for the extinction of the Dragonmaw Clan. I'll see how you answer your ancestors when you're dead."

No compromise, just a direct confrontation. If you're my brother, come hack me at 8 PM tonight!

How strong are Great dragons in combat?

Nekros didn't care, not even a little bit.

But the dragonmen servants' combat power was indeed very strong, no less than that of ogres and Gronn.

These words made him somewhat skeptical. He stared intently at Arthas, as if trying to discern if he was lying.

"Do you think you can fool me? What blue dragons, you worm!"

Arthas lifted an eyelid; he was very sleepy.

"Believe it or not, it's up to you. Also, we need a hundred cattle and sheep. Without food, how can we lay dragon eggs, how can we hatch dragon eggs?"

"A hundred! Why don't you just rob us!"

Nekros was quickly sidetracked. He had already decided to investigate whether there were other Great dragons.

A desperate fight to the death was satisfying, but now that he had tasted the benefits, it was unlikely he would back down, and he was even more unwilling to kill the red dragon queen.

Such a deal was too unprofitable and not in his interest.

Arthas stopped talking. Soon, snoring could be heard; he was actually sleeping right in front of him.

Nekros roared in anger but didn't dare to use the demon soul against him. He was still hoping these two dragons would lay more dragon eggs and hatch whelps for the Dragonmaw Clan.

But by night, a hundred freshly hunted cattle and sheep were delivered, bloody and absolutely fresh.

The awakened Arthas was responsible for preparing and cooking the food.

After eating and drinking his fill, the red dragon queen became energetic again, proudly raising her head.

"Little one, it's time to fulfill your duties as a temporary mate!"

Indeed, only a bull can be overworked, not a fertile field that can be ruined.

Late at night, the exhausted Arthas yawned and cast Eagle Eye.

The palace was restricted from magic, but Eagle Eye was not among them. Although it was called arcane, it was actually a spell developed and transformed by elune priests in ancient times.

This type of spell was similar to a shaman's elemental attack, very much like magic but distinctly different from it.

Magic is always magic, and a spell is always a spell!

In a secret chamber deep inside, Nekros, the chieftain of the Dragonmaw Clan, was conversing with a goblin.

This goblin was a Great dragon's servant, and this Great dragon was none other than Deathwing, Neltharion!

Kriel, the goblin servant who should have been subservient, now had a ferocious expression, seemingly arguing with someone.

Only when the voice came did he realize it wasn't an argument, but rather a complaint about Deathwing, his master.

goblins are inherently cunning and greedy. For money, they would even tie up their parents and sell them to others.

They attach extreme importance to trade agreements but constantly try to find loopholes in the terms.

They could trade at a port, complete the transaction smoothly, and then turn around and act as pirates at sea, robbing their former trade partners.

"Believe me, Warchief, an elite squad is already attempting to approach Grim Batol. They are coming to eliminate you."

"Hmph! You treacherous goblin, you tripled the price for a hundred cattle and sheep! How can I trust you!"

Nekros was clearly still annoyed that the goblin merchant had severely overcharged him for the cattle and sheep Arthas had requested. The money was stolen, and while he didn't feel bad about it, it still displeased him.

Hearing this, Arthas also thought this goblin was truly despicable.

Cooperation is cooperation, but to scam an ally is truly unethical!

Kriel, however, showed little embarrassment. goblins, after all. Is a goblin who isn't greedy a goblin? That's a kobold!

"Hey, big guy, I'll tell you straight, that elite squad will arrive in less than three days."

"By then, the Alliance army will besiege Grim Batol again. Do you think the appearance of dragon Riders won't make them take it seriously?"

Nekros hesitated. The main force of the Horde was not nearby at this time, and even he didn't know where they had gone.

If the Alliance attacked Grim Batol, the Dragonmaw Clan's current forces, even with red dragon assistance, might not be able to hold them off.

The main reason was that human mages were too unreasonable and numerous.

Nekros was not afraid of pure infantry combat, but he feared an all-out siege that ignored martial ethics. Even with the demon soul in hand, he might not be able to withstand it.

Each use of the demon soul was limited; the more it was used, the more severe the corruption.

This corruption was irreversible, so to lighten his physical burden, he mostly relied on threats.

"Alright, little green skin, I'll send people to scout. If it's true, I can consider cooperating with you. Otherwise, hmph hmph, I believe my clansmen wouldn't mind knowing what roasted goblin tastes like!"

Nekros threatened fiercely.

generally, orcs do not eat intelligent creatures, but some clans still maintain this barbaric custom.

And the Dragonmaw Clan happened to be one of them!

"Oh, you can't treat your ally like that! I swear on gold, it's true!"
