Chapter 16 - Jaina

Onyxia's eyes flickered as she quickly calculated the gains and losses. She knew this was right, but to believe it so quickly felt strange.

She had successfully manipulated all the nobles in Stormwind, and now she, too, was being led astray.

"Onyxia, this is a deal between prince Arthas and me. Do not interfere."

Saying this, she respectfully placed her hand on her chest and bowed to him, stating,

"Prince Arthas, I am willing to serve you."

When the yellow halo turned green, it signified that she had officially become an ally, a trustworthy ally!

Arthas reached out and clasped her soft, fair hand.

"Your choice is very correct. Welcome to my team. We will help each other and not take unilaterally."

"After the Burning Legion is defeated, I will help you deal with Deathwing's matter. He may not be beyond saving. Regardless, he will never harm you again."

This human, weaker than herself, actually claimed he would protect her?

These words made Sinestra feel somewhat amused, yet for some reason, a voice within her told her to trust this young prince, that this choice would not be regretted.

Thinking of this, she couldn't help but smile, showcasing the enchanting beauty of a high elf to its fullest.

"I believe you, Prince Arthas. You will not disappoint me, and I will not disappoint you."

Watching the two cooperate, no matter how confused Onyxia was, she could only suppress the mysteries in her heart.

Next was the division of labor.

With her mother's command, Onyxia could only abandon her schemes in Stormwind and return to be a full-time nanny, guarding these dragon eggs until they hatched.

She was not alone; she had many servants, and these servants were excellent helpers in clearing out gnolls and murlocs.

Thick-skinned and free of charge!

As the dragon eggs hatched, the hatchlings, the size of roosters, flapped their wings and flew.

Pure, without a trace of corruption, completely pure black dragons.

Seeing the hatchlings born, no matter how confused Onyxia was, she could only dutifully act as their nanny.

Sinestra, meanwhile, continued to transform into a high elf and followed Arthas to investigate the plague, acting as a bodyguard.

With her joining, Arthas also learned the dragon race's unique passive skill - Magic Resistance.

Level Three Magic Resistance: A unique dragon racial skill, it can reduce magic damage by 30% and is immune to most control and transformation effects.

The Concentration Aura also reached its max level, reducing damage taken by half.

With the matters of the territory settled, it was natural to set off to investigate the plague.

Furthermore, Lordaeron had sent word that the magical kingdom of Kirin Tor had also dispatched a special envoy leading a team of mages to assist him.

On the King's Road to Andorhal.

Arthas sat before the campfire, drinking wine, waiting quietly.

Behind him was the black dragon, transformed into a high elf, clad in light armor.

Beside him was Sylvanas, with a quiver on her back and golden hair fluttering in the wind, looking heroic and spirited.

Ever since he mentioned marrying her last time, their relationship had become somewhat subtle. Initially, she didn't think much of Arthas.

No matter how excellent he was, the issue of lifespan was a major drawback.

But Sinestra told her that finding the red dragon queen could bestow Arthas with a long life, and perhaps by the time Sylvanas was old, Arthas would still be young.

With this leverage, there was no fear of not reaching an agreement.

Moreover, Arthas' talent was truly terrifyingly strong; he grasped many combat techniques instantly and improved rapidly.

It was hard for people to believe if his talent was really that amazing? This already exceeded the scope of understanding!

But with a Titan's blessing, all the illogical things made sense.

Behind him were human guards, and a bruised and battered Grom; without a doubt, he had been beaten black and blue again.

Suddenly, a commotion came from afar.

A pretty blonde girl was running quickly, with two ogres chasing her from behind.

The situation seemed urgent. The ogres, each the size of two adult men, were not very intelligent, but their strength was terrifying.

The girl ran while casting spells, throwing fireballs.

Sylvanas' eyelids twitched; her rival had appeared!

She had heard the rumors in the Alliance: Grand Admiral Daelin and King Terenas both intended to arrange a marriage between the princess and the prince.

This princess was, of course, Jaina of the sea kingdom of Kul Tiras, and the prince was Arthas of Lordaeron.

This was a standard match; both were talented and beautiful, a match made in heaven, and both were exceptionally gifted, destined to become an excellent paladin and Archmage!

"Arthas, aren't you going to help her?"

Listening to Sylvanas' teasing, Arthas shook his head and said confidently,

"No need, she can protect herself."

"Don't overthink it. Both you and Jaina will marry me. I will protect you both, with my life."

Listening to these shameless words, Sylvanas couldn't help but sneer, but the latter part about protecting her with his life, to some extent, touched her heart.

So she didn't mock him. His shamelessness was real, but his feelings were also real.

Sinestra covered her mouth and chuckled, speaking in an Arcane whisper that only Sylvanas could hear.

"In the dragonflights, dragon kings can have multiple consorts. The prince is currently biding his time, and will surely achieve extraordinary things in the future."

Sylvanas frowned slightly. She didn't like these words and didn't want to hear them.

Since the establishment of Quel'Thalas, high elves had always been monogamous; there had been no talk of polygamy, so she naturally didn't quite accept it.

When the wooden club came with a whooshing sound, the captain of the guard was a little nervous; this was the future queen!

Crack!

A burst of frost froze the ogre's arm along with the wooden club, and the other ogre was blocked by a water elemental servant that appeared out of thin air.

Jaina waved her delicate hand, and a fist-sized fireball set the ogre ablaze.

Her staff plunged into the ground, and she used frost magic to freeze the ogre.

With a Bash from the water elemental servant, the ice shattered, and the ogre broke into pieces.

The burning ogre seemed frightened, let out a strange cry, and ran backward.

Whoosh!

An arrow pierced the air, pinning the fleeing ogre to the ground.

The next moment, the arrow dissipated; it was a magic arrow!

Jaina looked at the heroic and spirited female elf, seeing a hint of apprehension and challenge in her eyes, which made her feel inexplicable.

But since the other party had helped, she still nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

"Gentlemen, ladies, and big oafs, this is Miss Jaina Proudmoore, the special envoy sent by the Kirin Tor, one of the most talented mages in the world."

Arthas introduced her while spreading his arms.

Jaina was momentarily lost in thought. Was this a sign of reconciliation?

A smile bloomed on her exquisite, fair, and beautiful face, and she, too, opened her arms and embraced him.
