Chapter 33 - 33

Further on, Richard was repenting for spending too little time with Peter Parker as a father.

Victor didn't pay attention.

The first half of Richard's words, about DNA, was the main purpose of his trip.

"Alice, copy this video, then delete it. Notify Norman to have Connors come here immediately, tell him there's spider serum data that needs to be handled by a professional," Victor ordered.

"Okay, Chen. Copying complete, notification sent."

After doing this, Victor no longer lingered, got up and returned to the car on the ground to wait.

About forty minutes later.

Several black sedans sped from a distance, and before the cars had fully stopped, young Norman and a one-armed youth got out and walked side-by-side towards Victor.

Victor got out of the car and walked over to meet Norman, with Felicia following closely behind.

"Victor, is there really spider serum data?" Norman seemed very angry: "It's Richard's private lab, isn't it? I knew that bastard must have kept it!"

Is this a sudden, uncontrolled emotion?

Victor pondered for a moment, ignoring Norman's anger, and turned to look at the one-armed youth, extending his left hand and saying, "You must be Dr. Connors. I am Victor Chen, you can call me Victor or Chen."

"Of course." Connors shook Victor's hand with his only left hand: "Nice to meet you, Chen. But I hope you understand, I'm eager to see the data."

"No problem, I called you here to confirm the data." Victor was amenable, walking ahead: "Come with me, the data is in the tunnel. Hardy, you go back to the car and wait."

Connors glanced at Norman, whose expression was a bit tense, said nothing more, and quickly followed Victor into the tunnel.

Norman remained where he was, his face complex.

He had just tried to interact with Victor as an ordinary friend, and it proved that the other party did not consider him a friend, and clearly rejected this mode of interaction.

Only exchange of interests?

"Heh, interesting," Norman chuckled softly.

Dispelling the thoughts in his mind, he waved for several bodyguards to light the way ahead, then followed them into the passage.

By the time Norman and his group arrived at the Roosevelt platform, Connors was already busy inside the train car, while Victor stood outside, watching.

After greeting Victor, Norman also followed him into the train car.

As soon as Connors saw Norman, he directly expressed his excitement: "There is complete data here! All the experimental data that was destroyed is here! With this data, we finally have hope to replicate the spider serum!"

Norman, however, was not overly excited, but frowned and asked, "Is the core decay formula here?"

Connors' excited expression froze, but then he quickly became invigorated again.

"With so much data here, there must be! Norman, give me the manpower, I believe I can find the core decay formula!"

Victor didn't listen to the rest of the conversation.

It could be basically confirmed that there would be no core decay formula here.

After all.

Such an important formula, with Richard's caution, how could he leave it in the lab? It must have been memorized.

After Richard's death.

Then the only core decay formula... could only be in the interlayer of that briefcase.

Victor was not in a hurry to get it.

This spider serum data was enough for Connors to digest for some time.

He had to keep the core decay formula and the DNA limitation, the two key points, to himself, and absolutely not let Norman know.

Otherwise, if Norman were to replicate the spider serum in a short time, and after injecting it, combined with high-tech armaments like the green goblin armor, Victor felt he might not be able to defeat him.

At that time, if the scale contract judged Norman to be in control, that would truly be shooting himself in the foot.

Back in the car.

Felicia sat quietly in the passenger seat, very well-behaved—the working hours of a personal assistant are randomly flexible within 24 hours, with the schedule entirely dependent on the employer's activity time.

"Let's go back to the hotel," Victor said.

The driver immediately started the engine and silently drove away.

Felicia, however, handed over a tablet and said, "These are 10 villas I've selected, please take a look. Also, your driver's license and bank card have been processed. Should I keep them or give them to you?"

"You keep them."

"Okay, I'll carry them with me."

"Mm."

Victor responded, then lowered his head to check the information on the tablet. Most of it consisted of photos of the villas, from the entrance to every corner of the bedroom. A single look was enough to form a three-dimensional image in his mind.

He liked all the decoration styles.

The locations were spread throughout Manhattan Island.

Ultimately.

He chose a villa in Manhattan's Upper East Side, which was close to Central Park, with fresh air and ample sunlight. Even better, it was some distance from the center of Manhattan, so it should not be affected by any future battles.

As for the price?

Just over 3 million, which was a small amount for Norman.

The villa couldn't be moved into immediately; someone needed to be arranged to do a thorough cleaning and air it out.

"Oh, right." Victor suddenly remembered: "Hardy, also choose a seaside villa in Los Angeles, pick one near 10880 Malibu Street."

"O-okay, I understand." Felicia quickly wrote down the address: "Seaside detached villas might be more expensive, what's your budget?"

"The goal is to be close to number 10880, the price doesn't matter," Victor said domineering.

Of course it was domineering, it wasn't his own money he was spending.

As for why he was so fixated on 10880 Malibu Street... because that was the address of Tony Stark's luxury villa in Los Angeles.

Victor remembered all these basic details firmly.

After going out for a while and returning to the hotel, it was already past one in the morning.

When seeing Victor back to his room, Felicia didn't hesitate this time and also followed him into the room.

But Victor was not in the mood, and said with a smile, "Alright, it's late, you should go back and rest too. I won't be going out tomorrow morning, so you can sleep in."

"Oh, then... then I'll leave first?"

"Mm, Good night."

"Alright, Good night." Felicia left the room with a slight sense of disappointment, closing the door behind her.

Victor didn't notice these things.

Sinking into the soft sofa, his thoughts began to drift far away.

He needed to continue perfecting his "script."

There was no rush to get the core decay formula for now; it was safe in Peter Parker's hands, and getting it now would be useless, as the research would ultimately still involve Norman.

Combined with the DNA limitation, it was a double insurance, so there was no need to worry about Norman's problem for the time being.

In comparison.

He now had another matter that needed to be planned first.

Thinking this.

Victor pulled out his phone, opened Google search, and entered a line of keywords.
