Chapter 28 - 28

Osborn Tower, 108th floor, Chairman's Office.

Victor and the other person stood side by side by the window, each holding a glass of wine, seemingly having talked for a while.

After Alice thoroughly investigated the human experiments in the core lab, it was indeed as Norman said: those people were all death row inmates sent by the military.

Although it was still inhumane, at least it didn't cross the bottom line of humanity.

Norman was lucky.

If Victor's first goal hadn't been to find him, his future trajectory was predictable.

The human experiments were naturally stopped, and all the death row inmates were sent back to the military, who could do with them as they pleased.

Afterward.

Under Norman's guidance, Victor toured the core lab, which was entirely dedicated to the refinement of the concept machines from the underground exhibition hall.

Although the Dimensional Radar also sounded, the items were all components of the 4 items in the [Inventory], holding no value.

It seemed that Osborn could only directly provide those 4 items.

Afterward.

Victor and Norman returned to the office, with Victor primarily asking questions, Norman answering, and Alice providing supplementary information.

Through a series of questions and answers, Victor gradually determined the composition of this world.

It was primarily the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a small portion of related TV show worlds, and a continuation of some X-Men elements.

Slowly.

A world constructed from multiple plot worlds, along with their respective timelines, took shape in his mind.

The "Marvel Universe" goes without saying.

"The Gifted" indeed existed. Wanted posters for Polaris could even be found online, indicating the precarious status of mutants in this world.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." should also exist. However, it wasn't yet time for it to begin, and Coulson was still alive and well.

"Legion" did not exist. Professor X had been out of sight for over a decade, and the name X-Men was inherited by the Mutant Underground Shelter, which secretly rescued persecuted mutants.

Victor confirmed this information multiple times, ultimately having to sigh with regret and believe the facts.

David Haller's mutant ability was split personalities, and each personality possessed an ability or trait. If each one counted as a new item, then he would be a walking "money printer"!

"Inhumans" was pending; the moon was still in an exploratory state, so this information could not be confirmed.

"The Defenders" was confirmed not to exist. In this universe, there was no blind lawyer named Matt Murdock, no "Rand family," and certainly no famous Hand.

Correspondingly.

The related TV series featuring members of "The Defenders" - "Daredevil," "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage," and "Jessica Jones" - were also purely fictional.

There was no evidence whatsoever to suggest the existence of "Cloak & Dagger," "The Punisher," or "Runaways."

As each piece of news was confirmed, Victor's heart bled.

These were all "product reserves"! So many of them turned out to be fictional... As a director and screenwriter, he could still understand.

With the "Marvel" IP, one could rake in money by simply writing derivative scripts, so it was natural for various creative ideas to be incorporated.

However.

Even with such "losses," the Marvel Universe remained staggeringly vast, with the Hulk, Thor, Odin, Infinity Stones, and more—any one of which was worth an entire crew of those derivative scripts.

After removing the superfluous plots, the information remaining in Victor's mind was still countless—this was the golden finger that came with being a transmigrator.

Moreover.

While ordinary transmigrators only remembered the general plot, as a director who had participated in the filming of Marvel movies, he remembered almost every detail!

Even without the interdimensional trading platform, Victor wouldn't fare too badly with this information.

What he needed to do now was organize all the information and then create a "script" unique to himself—he was a professional in this area.

Victor fell silent.

Norman stood by, quietly sipping his wine, his mind also engaged in a brainstorm.

Although Victor asked many questions and seemed very unfamiliar with this world, even asking about information that the general public knew.

But the more he did so, didn't it further prove that Victor was indeed not very familiar with this world?

While it didn't rule out Victor acting, this was at least some proof, wasn't it—proof that Victor was indeed new here and indeed had the backing of an interstellar civilization.

This greatly boosted Norman's confidence.

As the head of a business empire, he absolutely had to seize this great "business opportunity."

Thinking this.

Norman saw Victor still deep in thought, quietly took a few steps back, and left the office.

Victor naturally noticed, but didn't pay attention; the entire Osborn was under Alice's surveillance.

Soon.

The office door was pushed open again, and Norman walked back to his original position as if nothing had happened.

Victor glanced at him, saying nothing.

The scene remained in silence.

It wasn't until noon that Norman's stomach couldn't hold out any longer—having just completed his transformation, which was a huge drain, and with lunch approaching, it was normal to be hungry.

Norman wasn't embarrassed and took the opportunity to ask, "Victor, what would you like for lunch? I'll have someone prepare it."

"No need, I won't get hungry," Victor refused. "I've asked all the general things I needed to know. You don't need to waste time accompanying me. If I need anything, I'll have Alice inform you."

Norman keenly caught the keyword "won't get hungry." Was it some kind of ability again?

Without overthinking the question, Norman suppressed his hunger and said, "There are many trivial matters on Earth that are quite troublesome, so I've arranged a personal assistant for you. What do you think?"

Victor was too lazy to correct him that he was also an Earthling, and nodded, signaling him to call the person in.

Norman walked to the desk, pressed a button, and said, "Hardy, please come in."

The office door opened in response, and a beautiful woman in professional attire entered. She had long brown hair and a pleasant, understated appearance, belonging to the fresh and simple type.

Victor found her somewhat familiar.

Norman introduced her, "This is Felicia Hardy. She's been my assistant for over a year and is very capable. What do you think?"

With that introduction, Victor remembered who she was.

In "The Amazing Spider-Man," when young Harry inherited Osborn, he also took a liking to this assistant and made her his own.

"Alright, she'll do," Victor said, looking at Felicia, a mischievous thought arising, and spoke Harry's future lines: "From now on, Norman, you'll also have to listen to her, because she listens to me. Any problems?"

Norman: "..."

How was he supposed to answer that?

If he agreed directly, he would lose face in front of his former subordinate.

Without waiting for Norman's answer, Victor continued speaking the remaining lines to himself: "Very good, your job is safe for now."

Having said that.

Victor walked out of the office very dashingly, leaving behind a bewildered Norman and a somewhat confused Felicia.

Norman also couldn't quite grasp Victor's meaning.

Was he trying to test him? Was he dissatisfied with the person he arranged?

He carefully scrutinized Felicia: moderate build, quiet looks—she was quite pleasing to the eye as a personal assistant!

While pondering.

Norman didn't forget to instruct Felicia: "Your salary and benefits will be doubled. From now on, you'll be Victor's personal assistant. If you can't fulfill any of his requests, call my private number."

Felicia nodded blankly, still a bit dazed.

So... she just got a new boss?

She wasn't fired, was she?

Norman cleared his throat when he saw Felicia still in a daze.

Felicia then came to her senses, closed the office door, and hurried to catch up with Victor, following closely behind him, not daring to speak.

A man who could speak so impolitely to the chairman must have a very distinguished identity.

She had to serve him well.

However.

If he made *that* kind of request... Felicia secretly glanced at Victor's profile, and her heart couldn't help but race.

So handsome!

With such a handsome boss, if there really was a need... making sure to take "safety precautions" would also be acceptable!

Neither of them knew.

Actually, Victor had just seen the perfect scene, and his director's soul had taken over, causing him to casually blurt out familiar lines.

Just like.

Any Marvel fan who met Star-Lord would definitely feel an irresistible urge to punch him hard!
