I didn't know any other language besides this one, and since this was the language the author used in the novel, I figured it was the best option. Still, it honestly baffled me how quickly they began to pick things up in the novel.
"Well, let's start," I said, clapping my hands once to get their attention.
Time passed faster than I expected. By the time the sun began to set, I finally stopped the lesson. Some of them seemed genuinely interested and had already grasped the basics, while others were just having fun mimicking me. A few managed to learn simple words, though many still struggled.
Even so, for a first day, their progress was impressive. It was almost like watching babies learn to talk—fast, curious, and surprisingly eager.
Before heading inside the cave, I took a moment to glance at Thorn. He was already training with his spear, his movements steady and focused. The others were following his lead, practicing beside him with determination.
"Hmph… he's really hardworking," I muttered with a faint smile. "Well, it suits him. After all, he's the first leader of humanity."
