Sandy's POV
I jerked my hand away from Dominic's grip and fixed him with a deadly stare. He responded with an eye roll, turning his attention elsewhere like a petulant child.
Such immature, ridiculous behavior.
Every fiber of my being wanted to snap his fingers in half, but I had come to this meeting with a greater mission in mind. I forced myself to remain composed and wait for the perfect moment to strike.
When the formal proceedings finally wrapped up, my pulse quickened. This was it. The moment I had been preparing for. I rose to my feet, my heart hammering against my ribs as I searched for the strength to voice what needed to be said.
"I have something important to discuss." The words came out barely above a whisper, shaky yet determined.
Dominic's expression soured immediately. "What is it now, Sandy? Don't you realize this isn't the appropriate time for your theatrical displays?"
