The night had already claimed the sky when I finally left Aunt Monica's house. During the drive back to my Pack territory, my mind churned over the obstacles waiting ahead of me. Each challenge seemed more daunting than the last, but I pushed those thoughts aside as I pulled into my driveway.
Then I saw it. Dominic's sleek Bentley parked down the street, gleaming under the streetlights like a predator lying in wait.
That bastard had some nerve showing up here without warning.
Though honestly, it wasn't surprising anymore. He'd been appearing at my doorstep with increasing frequency, and each visit revealed more desperation than the last. The sight made me smile grimly. Without his personal assistant - meaning me - to handle the Pack's endless administrative nightmare, everything was crumbling around him.
