Sallie's POV
Jill was crying like her world had ended. "This is all on me. I shouldn't have returned to the Noah Family. I'll pack up and leave Stormhaven tonight and never bother Sallie again.
"Dad, Mom, Kevin, Webster, please don't take this out on Sallie. Don't fight with her. If you want to be angry at someone, be angry at me."
Jill pulled away from Salome's grip and started toward the door.
The Noah Family rushed to stop her, but before anyone could speak, Jill's eyes fluttered shut and she crumpled backward.
"Jill?" Kevin's face drained of color as he caught her. "Jill? Don't do this to me."
Kevin kept repeating her name, but her eyes remained closed. She'd apparently fainted.
That face that usually gazed at him with such devotion and trust was now ghostly white.
The sight made Kevin's chest ache.
