Sallie's POV
"Grandpa, what's wrong?" I was the first to notice Levi' discomfort, worry tightening my voice.
Levi was still struggling to breathe when Jill suddenly spoke up with fake concern, "Sallie, please don't get mad. I was just worried you might cause Grandpa to miss important news about Johan, so I kindly reminded you not to misunderstand the waiter."
"If I've made you upset, I truly apologize. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to." Tears filled her eyes, playing the part of an innocent child forced to say sorry.
Draven immediately pulled Jill close and soothed her. "Jill, this isn't your fault. You don't need to apologize to Sallie."
"R-really?" Jill looked up at Draven with shy, hopeful eyes, her gaze full of worship and need.
Draven nodded firmly as he thought, 'Jill's just too good-hearted, and that's why Sallie keeps walking all over her. It's my fault too. I spoiled Sallie too much before, turning her into this!'
