Sallie's POV
The Noah family froze, still reeling from my cutting response.
Todd stepped forward first. "Sallie, don't waste your energy getting worked up over people like this."
"They're desperate to blame you and won't even bother checking the surveillance for the real story. I'll handle the investigation myself." His eyes moved across the Noah family before landing on Salome.
That bright, carefree smile still played on his lips, dimples creasing his cheeks in a way that made him look boyish and vibrant. But something in his expression made Salome visibly shiver.
Before she could even process what was happening, Todd had already shifted his attention and called out to the crowd, "Wasn't everyone just dying to find out who snuck into that room and destroyed those presents? Turn around and see the truth for yourselves."
Everyone spun around at his words, just as the large screen—which had been displaying birthday messages for Jill—flickered and cut to surveillance footage.
