Sallie's POV
Todd caught the shift in my expression. Before he could question what was bothering me, I bolted past him, sprinting toward the rear of the building.
At that exact moment, a figure in a baseball cap and mask looked shocked and immediately spun around to flee.
Todd's thoughts seemed to race as realization dawned on him, and he quickly pursued me.
By the time Todd reached me, I had already cornered the man, my face stone-cold as I demanded sharply, "What exactly were you photographing?"
The guy appeared rattled, his immediate response pure denial. "Photos? I have no clue who you are. You've got the wrong guy."
He attempted to slip around me and escape, but I wasn't having it. "Show me your phone. If this is all some mix-up, I'll apologize."
I held my position, unshakeable. I was certain this man had just been using his device to snap pictures of Levi' hospital room.
Since Levi was involved, I wasn't backing down; regardless of this guy's motives, I needed answers.
