Sallie's POV
Nobody could've predicted that a full-grown man would brazenly flaunt being a sugar baby right there in broad daylight.
"You... You..." Webster stared at him, completely speechless, unable to form a single coherent word.
Once the shock wore off, Webster demanded, his voice cracking, "What did you just call her?"
Webster was thinking, 'That nickname... I was the only one allowed to use it since we were kids!'
Todd replied without shame, "Obviously, I called her dear Sallie. What, going deaf in your old age?"
"You—" Webster's face turned crimson with rage. He spun toward me, his voice strangled with fury. "Who is this guy? What right does he have to call you that?"
"My life isn't your business anymore, Webster."
I kept my tone ice-cold, then gestured for Todd to follow me as we started walking away.
"Don't you dare walk away." Webster lunged forward and grabbed my hand, his eyes bloodshot and glassy with unshed tears.
