Sallie's POV
Todd had figured out long ago how foolish and cruel the Noah family could be, but he knew that when it came to Levi, I wouldn't easily say no.
So, just to be safe, he had to go straight to Levi and get the truth from him, making sure Webster wasn't spinning lies.
Webster's expression hardened as he shot Todd a furious glare. "What the hell is that supposed to mean? You're actually saying I'm lying?"
"Grandpa Levi." I interrupted him, already pulling out my phone. I confirmed everything with Levi without hesitating for even a second.
Webster's hand hung there in mid-air, still pointing at Todd, his face showing complete shock. I don't trust him at all, not even for a moment, he must be thinking, absolutely stunned.
I didn't waste time with small talk when I called Levi. I just made sure they were really having dinner at the Noah place, chatted briefly, then ended the call.
