"Miss Cipher, how about it? If you intend to give up resisting, we will only inject you with a tranquilizer, ensuring you don't resist on the way."
"But if you continue to resist, then you'll inevitably suffer some physical pain."
As soon as he finished speaking, many ice cones condensed around Augie, all pointing in Cipher's direction.
"Are you done talking?"
Seeing this scene, Cipher's face showed no trace of panic. She put her right hand behind her back and then calmly uttered these four words.
Augie was startled. He didn't expect Cipher to remain so calm under such circumstances.
Was it an act? Or did she truly have a trump card?
"If you're done talking, then it should be my turn, shouldn't it?"
With that, Cipher flipped her right hand, and a turning over coin appeared in her palm.
"Attack."
As Augie's words came out, the ice cones around him rapidly stabbed towards Cipher's limbs. The others, holding rifles, also pulled their triggers, aiming at Cipher's hands and feet.
"Ding—"
The turning over coin was flicked. After a crisp sound, both the ice cones stabbing at her and the bullets whistling towards her froze in mid-air.
"Ah~ I thought it was something else. Turns out it's just an organization chasing and harming others, all for an unrealistic ideal."
Cipher stretched lazily, leisurely dodging all the bullets and ice cones, and walked in front of Augie.
At this moment, Augie's expression was still frozen in the instant he frowned.
"You really think you're someone important, don't you? I wonder if you've ever been kicked by 'Light'."
With that, Cipher landed a fierce kick on his stomach.
Following the principle that the faster the speed, the greater the kinetic energy, she felt that with this kick, the person in front of her, unless he had Felix's ability, would be severely injured even if he didn't die.
Then she went around, giving everyone a fierce blow.
Although Cipher knew this would definitely kill these people, she didn't know why, but she seemed to have no feeling for killing anymore.
Perhaps the reason she didn't kick the mercenary to death that time was because there were too many people, and not some notion of a good citizen who had only killed chickens in her past life.
After Cipher had kicked everyone except Felix, she walked over to Felix.
"You like ambushing, do you?"
Cipher kicked him fiercely in the stomach.
"You ambushed me, did you?"
Felix's chest was kicked again.
"Misunderstanding, huh? Genetic modification, huh? Calling for backup, huh? ..."
With each sentence, Cipher delivered a blow to various parts of his body.
After more than a dozen consecutive blows, Cipher had hit Felix all over his body.
"Phew... this cat is exhausted. Now, it's time for harvest, meow!"
After wiping away non-existent sweat from her forehead, Cipher excitedly looked at the two terminals in her hand.
She had picked them up from Augie and Felix while beating them.
As for the other ordinary people and the two guys controlling gravity and telekinesis, Cipher didn't find their terminals.
"Let me see... just how much money do you two have!"
[Felix's Personal Terminal] (White Item)
[Because he acquired a C-rank rapid recovery ability, he was taken by Genesis Technology for experiments. Although the experiments elevated Felix's ability to B-rank, the genetic editing process was excruciating.]
[credit points: 43862]
"No wonder he hates Genesis Technology so much, but what does that have to do with me? I'm just a weak, pitiful, and helpless cat, who just happens to run faster."
After reading the description, Cipher muttered to herself, then pulled out her quantum storage and absorbed all forty thousand plus credit points.
"Although it's far less than Boss Shen, it's still a good amount. As for Boss Shen, I'll settle accounts with him later."
After absorbing the credit points, Cipher casually tossed Felix's personal terminal onto the ground.
Then she looked at Augie's personal terminal.
[Augie's Personal Terminal] (White Item)
[Born into the Reverse Current Alliance, he is the son of an important member of the Reverse Current Alliance. From a young age, he was indoctrinated with the belief that the four mega-corporations and the IMA were a group of heinous villains, so he has always held an aversion to people associated with corporations and the government.]
[credit points: 156728]
"So he was brainwashed. I knew I felt something was off with his brain; turns out there really was a problem there."
"But I guess he's truly the son of an important member, to have 150,000 credit points! Then I won't be polite, meow!"
Looking at the number in the description, Cipher giggled and transferred all 150,000 away.
Adding the 90,000 she still had from Boss Shen, her little personal treasury had successfully accumulated 290,000 credit points!
After emptying the credit points from both terminals, Cipher looked around, making sure she had kicked everyone at least once. Then she walked to the door and deactivated her Divinity Speed state.
"Ah!!!" "Pfft—" "Hmph..."
At this moment, screams, sounds of vomiting blood, and muffled groans erupted simultaneously. Everyone flew around as if they had entered flight mode.
Some smashed into walls, some into the ceiling, and some into others, giving their teammates a horrific backstab.
Augie, however, was different; he happened to fly towards Cipher.
But Cipher merely shifted her body slightly and dodged him.
As Augie watched Cipher's sidestep, his consciousness gradually blurred.
He only remembered the instant after he moved to attack Cipher, followed by a sharp pain coming from his stomach.
Before his mind could figure out what had happened, he was already flying out.
"How... is... this... pos... sible..."
These were his last words before losing consciousness.
As for Felix.
Even with strong recovery abilities, he couldn't withstand more than a dozen consecutive light-speed strikes.
The moment Cipher deactivated Divinity Speed, he silently fell unconscious.
One could only say he was truly a tough guy; he endured so many blows without even a whimper.
[Killed or severely wounded some members of the Reverse Current Alliance, stellar jade + 1600]
"Done and dusted. This time I even got a direct ten-pull reward, how generous. I'll collect their guns and equipment later, then head back to meet up with Lauren and the others. As for this ten-pull... I'll do it when I rest!"
With that, Cipher clapped her hands, as if dusting them off, and then prepared to step into the warehouse to collect the spoils.
But before she could take a few steps, the cat ears on her head twitched slightly again... because she heard the sound of a car starting in the distance, and it was rapidly approaching her location.
"..."
"Is this ever going to end, meow!"
After a moment of silence, Cipher shouted, somewhat annoyed.
(T/N: ok let's be clear guys, the terms of "speed of light" is getting used too much in fiction, to the point it just kinda meh, the thing is just how much work you read that really capture the power and nature of something that move at speed of light?)
