now he was lying in blood and mud.
Someone screamed outside the ruins. Metal clashed. Then silence
Jaemin sat up, dizzy, his refflection on a broken shard of glass: same tired eyes, same black hair,
but the world arround him,...he knew it

the black-armoured corps
the symbole carved into a stone, a circle pierced by a sword of light
this was kardiel forest, chapter 4 of chronicles of the ascended hero
the very first place where the monsters invaded and the hero, Aserion, awakened the hero's sigil for the first time
Jaemin laughed, broken sound "no way i'm dreaming"
Suddenly, the systeme story intervened
"Unregestired Entity Dedetcted."
"This Soul Does Not Belong To Any Fate Thread"
it wasn't his immagination
"Assigning temporary identifer"
"you are now: Han Jaemin"
"Designation: Observer"
"Warning: this world rejects your existence"
he knew this part of the story. The monsters would break the walls in any seconds.
The hero would awaken his powers.
Everyone else everyone else would die
he have read this a hundred times and even cried for the first time
and now he was living it
"why me" he whispered
a horned beast made of black smoke and teeth appeared. It's scream shattered the air
Aserion valeheart,the novel's hero, kneeling beside a dying knife, The sigil of light beggining to burn across his chest
Jaemin hands trembled
he wanted to run, he wanted to watch
but mostly he wanted to change it
He took a single step forwards then a message appeared
"Warning: Observer Interference Detected."
"Consequence: 1% Existence Stability Lost."
Jaemin frooze.
The world wanted him gone
the story wanted to go on without him
And for the first time jaemin wasn't satisfied with reading how things were meant to be
He clinched his fists, and whispered throght gritted teeth
"Then I'll Change It, Even if this world tries to erase me"
And in that moment The ascended hero ended and The main side character begun.
