-DIMENSIONS-
There exists countless dimensions each one incomparably bigger than the last. So much so that a lower dimension could hardly affect even a single decimal higher dimension.
The decimal dimensions are usually rounded up to a whole dimension, like 0.1111-->,0.1222-->,0.1333--> all rounding up to form 1.
Different dimensions often have their own unique property. That property is imprinted to all things residing in that dimension.
-ASCENDANCY-
That said, there are methods for a resident of a lower dimension to go to a higher dimension. Such methods include;
1.Being taken to a higher dimension by a higher one
2.Getting a higher one's inheritance
But these two methods require an abundance of luck, thus a 3rd method was created by a higher one that served two purposes. The method was named ascendancy.
This method requires you to win a competition dubbed "The Ascendant's competition" where all lower ones who reach the strength requirement can participate. The aim is to complete a set of challenges that are randomised each competition, Whereby the top 15 are all given the chance to ascend to a higher realm.
With anyone in the top 5 getting a guaranteed chance to join any major faction they choose. The top 15-6 still get to apply for a major faction but with a lower acceptance rate, So they get to choose any small to medium faction to join.
There's also exists a 4th hidden option. To gather enough strength to shatter their dimension's barrier, This method is by far the hardest and most dangerous, the practitioner often bearing several severe risks. Less than 2% of people who use this method end up in a higher dimension without any form of damage.
Regarding dimensional properties, if a lower one goes to a higher dimension they will adopt that dimensions property(ies) often replacing their old lower property(ies).
An example of this is going from 3d to 4d. When a 3d creature ascends to 4d, their present becomes a constant meaning if the 4d is universal it has always been universal and their future is now uncertain/undefined.
Effectively making time travelling to the past to kill the 3d now 4d a fruitless endeavour. if you can't deal with it now, you can't deal with it then.
-Coplanes-
These are different worlds completely separate from one another that exist within the same dimensions. Within these coplanes there exists a multitude of sub-worlds or layers that make it up called realms.
●Realms-
Layers or levels of existence within a Coplane. Think of it like this, A coplane represents a whole tower while realms represent the floors that make up that tower.
