Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Dizziness is Normal

[Item: Red Mushroom (Eats and becomes bigger)]

This was an item Du Mu had acquired a while ago.

Seeing that Peter was about to be overwhelmed, Du Mu decisively ate the Red Mushroom. His body instantly swelled to twice its original size, making him even a head taller than the Hulk!

At the same time, his stats also surged, which allowed him to effortlessly block the Hulk's punch.

Not only that, Du Mu's clothes also grew with his size, unlike the Hulk who bursts out of his clothes, pants, and shoes, leaving only a pair of underwear.

But it had to be said, the quality of the Hulk's underwear was truly excellent; it showed no signs of damage despite such intense fighting.

Looking at Du Mu, whose body was even larger than his own, a hint of confusion flashed in the Hulk's eyes.

But the confusion was fleeting, instantly swallowed by a surge of rage!

"ROAR!!"

The Hulk let out a furious roar, swinging his massive fist, bigger than a sandbox, to viciously smash at Du Mu!

Du Mu didn't dodge or evade, swinging his own fist to meet the attack!

BOOM!!!

The two colossal fists, containing terrifying power, collided head-on!

A wild shockwave erupted, instantly flattening Peter and the surrounding bookshelves!

Taking advantage of the brief stalemate from the double-fist collision, Du Mu advised, "Calm down, Hulk, I'm here to help you!"

"ROAR!!"

But the Hulk simply couldn't hear him. It roared, ready to swing its fist again.

However, Du Mu was faster!

"Muay Thai Warning!"

Du Mu stomped forward, driving an elbow heavily into the Hulk's face!

PANG!!

A dull and shocking impact exploded!

The Hulk was smashed backward like a cannonball, violently collapsing a row of heavy bookshelves in the distance. Wood chips and books flew everywhere, instantly burying it.

Peter scrambled out from a pile of scattered books, coughing and brushing the dust off himself. Staring at Du Mu's towering figure and the collapsed bookshelves in the distance, he was utterly stunned.

Are all jocks this ferocious these days?

"ROAR!!!"

An angry roar burst from the ruins of books!

The Hulk tossed aside the books and bookshelves, fixing his eyes on Du Mu, his vision burning with pure fury.

Clearly, Du Mu had thoroughly angered the beast!

The Hulk bellowed, its massive body charging again, rushing recklessly toward Du Mu.

Du Mu deftly side-stepped the charge, his right leg sweeping swiftly against the back of the Hulk's supporting knee!

Pum!

The Hulk's momentum abruptly stalled, his body staggering.

Capitalizing on the Hulk's momentary loss of balance, Du Mu followed up with a knee strike, driving it viciously into the area between the Hulk's chest and abdomen!

"AWOO!"

The Hulk grunted from the blow, his body arching upward.

Du Mu didn't let up. His left arm bent at the elbow, swinging down like a heavy axe with a whistling sound, smashing forcefully onto the Hulk's back!

Crack!

The heavy impact slammed the Hulk straight to the ground, where it lay prone, kicking up a cloud of dust!

While the Hulk's strength was indeed terrifying, its combat technique was virtually nonexistent.

At equal size, the Hulk was no match for Du Mu.

The Hulk struggled to get up, but Du Mu forcefully pinned him down. At the same time, Du Mu extended his arm and wrapped it around the Hulk's thick neck, steadily increasing the pressure.

"ROAR! ROAR!"

The Hulk struggled desperately, its limbs flailing and pounding the floor, creating deep craters. But Du Mu had skillfully locked down his key point of leverage, making it impossible for the Hulk to break free for the time being.

Looking at the struggling Hulk, Du Mu comforted him, "It's okay, Hulk, dizziness is normal!"

Seeing the situation, Peter quickly came over to help, using all his strength to press down on the Hulk.

Under the combined efforts of the two, the anger-filled look in the Hulk's eyes gradually became clear and confused. His body began to shrink visibly.

Before long, the Hulk reverted back to his human form, Bruce Banner.

"Perfect timing."

Du Mu said this just as his own body returned to its normal size.

The Red Mushroom had a time limit.

If they had delayed for even a moment longer, or if the Hulk's rage had continued to accumulate, the situation might have been completely reversed.

"Cool. Is that your superpower?" Peter asked enviously.

"Nah, I just took a drug to temporarily get big."

Noticing Peter's gaze, Du Mu chuckled, "You want one? I still have a piece here. The effect is similar. If you like it, it's yours."

"Really? I don't know..." Peter looked embarrassed.

"It's fine. I don't really need this thing anyway."

Du Mu pulled out a blue pill from his game inventory and tossed it to Peter, cautioning, "Remember this: use this pill when you feel mentally drained or weak. I guarantee you'll instantly revitalize your manhood!"

Peter took the blue pill and carefully tucked it away, "I understand. This is a trump card only to be used in critical moments."

"Mhm, looks like you've grasped the concept perfectly."

As the two talked, Bruce had already regained consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes, looking around with a puzzled expression.

"You're awake?"

Du Mu suddenly leaned close to Bruce's face.

Bruce flinched, asking, "Who are you?"

Du Mu replied, "I'm Du Mu. I'm here to help you escape."

"Help me escape?"

Bruce didn't have any memory of his time as the Hulk. Noticing he was still inside Midtown High School, he asked in surprise, "The Hulk didn't escape? Did Ross manage to defeat him?"

"Oh no, I defeated him."

"..."

Bruce was speechless for a moment, finding it hard to believe.

He knew very well the Hulk's terrifying destructive power. Even General Ross's army could barely pose a real threat to the Hulk.

And this man in front of him could defeat the Hulk!?

Yet, the facts were undeniable, and Bruce had to accept it.

"Thank you for stopping the Hulk."

Bruce didn't blame Du Mu for preventing his escape; instead, he was full of gratitude.

If the Hulk had been left unchecked, who knew how much destruction it would have caused or how many people would have died? That was completely unacceptable to Bruce, which was why he was trying everything to get rid of the Hulk.

Du Mu waved a hand, "It's a small thing. Let's talk more once we're out of here."

"Guys, I have to warn you, the army has surrounded the school. It might be a little difficult for you to escape now."

Peter, seeing that Bruce didn't seem like a bad person, kindly offered a warning.

Du Mu grinned, "No worries. I have a shortcut to leave this place."

Ten-odd minutes later.

More than a thousand meters away from Midtown High School, Du Mu and Bruce emerged from underground.

"That pickaxe of yours is incredible."

Bruce looked at the Diamond Pickaxe in Du Mu's hand, his face full of shock.

"No, no, no, your Hulk is even more incredible."

Du Mu himself couldn't figure out where the sheer, sudden mass of the Hulk came from when Bruce transformed.

Was it photosynthesis?

After all, the Hulk was so green.
