At first, I didn't think much of the letters and roses I found in my car. But now it's been five days, and the letters and roses keep coming, and every day the numbers in the letters keep decreasing.
"Am I the only one who feels like the letters they send are like a countdown?" Feeling that the letters sent to me were strange, I turned to Stacy to ask her opinion.
"I think so too. But a countdown for what?" Stacy asked me back, making me even more confused.
"My birthday has already passed. There's no anniversary coming up either. I don't think there's anything in my life that needs a countdown in the near future," I explained, trying to remember if I had forgotten any essential dates in my life.
"Should we report this to the police? Who knows, maybe the countdown and the black rose are threatening you," replied Stacy, who had felt strange about the letter and the mysterious rose I had received from the beginning.
