Aria
Caleb hadn't seen the message I sent him, but I decided to visit him in his office on the top floor of the building anyway. With a gift in my hand, I took the elevator with a light heart.
Since I arrived after lunch break was over, there weren't many people passing through the lobby. It only took me a few minutes to reach the top floor of the building.
"Is Caleb in his office?" I asked one of his secretaries outside his office.
"Ahh, yes, Mr. Caleb is in his office. He's been waiting for you, but—"
"Okay, thank you!" I accidentally cut off the secretary's explanation.
It seemed like I couldn't wait to see Caleb, so when I found out he was in his room, I hurried towards it without listening to what the secretary wanted to tell me.
I knocked softly on the door, then turned the knob and pushed it open. I faintly heard hurried footsteps behind me.
"Miss, wait—" Before the secretary could warn me, I had already opened Caleb's door.
