Chapter 13 - Hunter almost becomes the Hunted.

Walking deeper into the woods, slowly making sure not to make any loud sounds, I found a small stream. Moving towards it and squatting down as I saw deer prints — or at least that's what they looked like to me. It was a group of them, about fifteen or so. As I walked around until I found the way, they had left.

Following them for four miles until I caught up to them, they were grazing in a small open meadow as I knelt next to a tree and saw a massive buck. There was enough meat on that to feed the women for two days, but I planned to take down as many as I could.

Aiming at the buck, it stood as tall as a moose, but it was a deer. If hunters came to this world, they would have a boner hunting this deer and taking a deep breath as I aimed where its heart should be, breathing out as I emptied my breath and pulled the trigger, downing the buck before switching to the biggest doe.

I downed it as the other deer started to run, allowing me to aim at the next one and shoot it in the neck, bringing it down before the rest made it inside the woods. Three wasn't too bad; this would feed us for the next five or six days, depending on how we use it.

Walking out onto the meadow and storing the deer away, a roar came out from the woods in front of me. This made me quickly pull out the HK416 as the trees began to move aside, and a light-green lion walked out. Its roar sent a gust of wind cutting into the ground, and a blade-like object flew towards me, making me roll out of the way.

Taking up a kneeling fire position and opening fire as the lightning rounds hit the lion, making it stagger, but it didn't fall. It had to be stronger than the two Saber Tooth tigers. Standing up as I backed up while firing, blood started to leak from its body. It was being damaged but wasn't going down. The lion pushed off the ground as I changed mags.

As he roared, sending a wave of wind blades towards me, I ducked and dodged as I started to run, making us form a circle as I opened fire. Since it was a 5.56, the recoil wasn't as noticeable, as my body handled it even better than before. The lion was getting frustrated as it couldn't land a hit on me or get close enough to me.

Its body began to take on a light green tint, and it pushed off the ground. Oh, shit, it was fast. I did a combat roll to miss the jaws about to clamp down on me, and the lion slid to a stop with its backside to me, and I took aim at the only object I could hit. Firing as the lightning round slammed into the lion's ball sack, making it scream out in pain as it fell onto the ground, rolling as blood and two white objects dangled from its flesh.

Taking the lever-action off my back and aiming it at the head, and firing, as part of the skull and flesh came off. It looked like the 45-70 still packed a more potent punch; it seems like I will still be using this rifle for a while.

The lion lay on the ground, whimpering as I took aim once more and put it out of its misery. The system beeped, making me look at it.

I leveled up, looking at my creation skill. I need to make about 600 more objects to level it up, well, since my mana is full now. I should restock on ammo. I had just used two magazines of Lightning 5.56. It cost 1,800 mana for six magazines' worth of 5.56, which was 180 rounds, as I filled the two magazines I had used, plus the last one I couldn't fill before.

Making three more magazines, which cost me 10 mana each, as I loaded them. Before restocking the 45-70 Lightning and Fire rounds. I bought 30 rounds of each, as they were 15 mana per round, spending 900 mana points—leaving me 780 mana left, as I looked at my revolvers and sighed.

Looks like I need to switch from revolvers to something that holds more rounds, I thought to myself as I ran through which handgun I should get. I let out a smirk as I made up my mind.

"Let's go with the APF Dueller 2011," I said with a chuckle. It's a M1911 with two barrels chambered in .45 ACP, meaning it's two guns in one, meaning if I made two, I would have four guns in two weapons. As I finished making it, I looked at the cost and sighed. 700 mana, meaning I wouldn't be able to buy ammo for it.

Well, that's for later then. As I made it and grabbed it after it showed up in front of me, I stored it. Picking up a shell on the ground, getting back mana, I didn't do that last time, as I didn't want to take my eyes off the men.

The lion's body started to lose its flesh and skin, leaving only the bones, its crystal, 15 silver coins, and two wind magic rounds. One of which I broke down, and the other I put into the lever-action, as it was the caliber. Aiming at a tree, I pulled the trigger as the bullet let the rifle's wind start to spiral around it, and it hit the tree, going through a four-foot-thick tree and out the other side.

It left a half-fist-sized hole in the shape of a spiral. That was cool, it blew through a tree it shouldn't have been able to. Leaving a massive hole inside it. I looked at it and nodded before I started to go pick up the spent 5.56 shells.

As I finished picking up the shells, I got about 100 mana back. Making me wonder if I should even do it, I think I will need to get a shell catcher for the HK416. That is the only way it would be worth it, instead of walking around and picking them up.

I started to walk back after squaring away my loadout. I was about 5-6 miles away. But with my improved body, it didn't take me long to get back to the campsite. As I walked over to the Elves and dropped the three deer, I spoke. "Could you skin the animals and butcher them? I will store them for the travel, that way they will have enough food for 5 or 6 days." I said.

"Leave it to us." One of the elves said as I looked over at Mrs. Watson, who had noticed I had returned. She was sitting with Liliana and the others. I could tell they had a personal talk as both had thoughts showing on their faces. Walking over to them, I stood before the seated Mrs. Watson and started to speak.

"Mrs. Watson, can you follow me?" I said. She looked up at me and nodded as she stood. The dress she had worn on the ship was torn on the side from the bottom to just under her hip. Giving it a slit that showed off her white leg as she stood, this made me gulp as I looked at it, seeing part of her underwear showing.

I turned around as she got up and started to walk into the woods. She was walking behind me. After walking about three hundred meters or so, I stopped and turned around, looking at her. Mrs. Watson's face was flushed; she could feel the sexual tension in the air right now as I started to walk towards her.

She backed up, wanting to say something, but was lost for words as I slowly made her back into a tree. I slammed a palm on the tree, bringing my face closer to hers. "We can't, Colt." She whispered.

"Well, if it's only we can't, that won't stop me. As it's not a 'I don't want to, Colt' I said before kissing her." She placed her hands on my chest as her eyes widened. She couldn't find the will to push me away as she clinched her hands onto my shirt and slowly returned the kiss.

Mrs. Watson closed her eyes as she became consumed by the kiss.
