It was chaos at Coalition Headquarters.
Leaders from every planet shouted over each other, panicking, desperate to find a solution. Not to the children—they were strange, yes, but something worse loomed over them all.
The Void.
"SILENCE!" the Chairman roared.
The room froze. Every leader sat down and turned toward him.
"The Void is growing," he said, voice steady. "This is the greatest disaster we've faced since the Sandeth first emerged from it. But we have a solution. The children—born across the universe with unnatural powers—may be our only hope."
Murmurs rippled through the chamber.
"We can do this," he continued. "But only if we work together. Even the Martians—who have refused to join our Coalition for years—have finally stepped forward to unite with us today."
He looked around the room. "Any objections?"
Silence.
Just nods, and whispers of uneasy agreement between the planetary leaders.
A woman from the back spoke up. "We can build schools for them. Training grounds."
The Chairman paused, then slowly nodded.
He was a master at getting things done.
Because, after all…
He was Winston.
