Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: Successful Infiltration and Installation — Xiao Ran’s Visit

Xu Mu sighed inwardly. Women…

After hanging up the phone, he took Meng Wanyue's hand. "Wanyue, this time, I really owe you one."

"Huh? President Xu, what did I even do?"

"Do you remember when we ran into that honey trap before?"

Xu Mu briefly recounted what had happened. "If you hadn't organized those videos back then, setting up the cameras this time would've been a nightmare."

Hearing that, the gloom on Meng Wanyue's face vanished instantly. "Not at all, I was just doing what I should."

——

Inside the Feng Family Estate

Sun Wei was hiding in a blind spot of the surveillance cameras, scrolling through videos of pretty women.

You can't have both the fish and the bear's paw — if you want one thing, you have to give up another.

He was the head of the Feng family's security, managing nearly a hundred men under him.

The reason for that was simple — he had married the housekeeper's daughter.

By all accounts, that made him a "winner in life." But his wife weighed over 230 pounds and had a temper like a lion.

He had thought about sneaking off to a club before, but he didn't dare. If his wife or father-in-law ever found out, he'd be done for.

So, watching videos was the only way to ease his frustration.

Just then, his phone buzzed with a text message.

"Sun Wei, remember that fateful night? Keep this video safe — whatever you do, don't let your wife see it."

Below was a link to a website.

Sun Wei frowned but tapped it anyway. His wife controlled all their money, so even if it was a virus, there was nothing for anyone to steal from his phone.

When the site opened, there was only one video — the recording from that hotel incident.

The video began with a bald man roaring, "You little punk! You dare sleep with my wife?!"

Sun Wei's face turned deathly pale. Those bastards had clearly been paid off — didn't they have any honor?!

His heart pounded violently, cold sweat forming on his forehead. If that video reached his wife or father-in-law, he was as good as dead.

Then, his phone rang.

He picked up immediately, his voice trembling. "Who are you?"

"Doesn't matter who I am. If you don't do as I say, that video will be sent to both your wife and your father-in-law."

The voice was synthetic, clearly disguised.

"What do you want?"

"I don't like to repeat myself. In the front yard of the Feng estate, there's a small warehouse in the left corner. You have thirty minutes to set it on fire."

"What? Impossible! The main power line runs right behind that warehouse!" Sun Wei protested.

"Exactly. I want you to burn the main line. Thirty minutes from now, if that warehouse isn't on fire, the video goes out."

"Wait—"

But the call was already disconnected.

Sun Wei was terrified. If that video got out, the housekeeper and Feng Kang would ruin him without a second thought.

But if he set the fire and got caught, he'd still be finished.

Still… one outcome was certain, and the other was only possible.

He had no choice.

If he covered his tracks well enough, no one would know he was responsible. He could just say there'd been an electrical overload — or a short circuit.

With that thought, he moved to act.

——

Outside, Xu Mu and Meng Wanyue were waiting. Feng Yue had sent another message — the results would show in about thirty minutes.

Sure enough, after only ten or fifteen minutes, black smoke began rising from the Feng estate.

Xu Mu focused his Divine Eye — the small warehouse was already burning.

The guards noticed the fire and rushed toward the front yard to put it out.

Xu Mu immediately gave his order. "Wanyue, drive around to the back of the estate!"

"Got it."

Meng Wanyue hit the gas.

Behind the Feng estate stood a high wall. Meng Wanyue got out of the car, pulled a backpack from the backseat, and put on a black mask.

"President Xu, leave it to me."

She leapt gracefully onto the car roof.

"Got another mask? We'll go together."

Xu Mu climbed up after her. The estate was large, and since Meng Wanyue had never been here before, it would take time to find the study.

But Xu Mu knew the layout — he'd been here before, when his father Xu Shou brought him and Xu Ningbing to visit the Feng family back when the Xu Group first entered Yang City.

"Alright!"

Meng Wanyue nodded, remembering that Xu Mu himself had once trained under a senior martial artist — he'd be fine. But she still wouldn't let anything happen to him.

She pulled another mask from her bag and handed it to him.

Once Xu Mu had it on, she began to move.

With the backpack on, she jumped — pushing off the wall with one foot, grabbing the top edge with one hand, and pulling herself up.

From the top, she stretched her hand toward him. "President Xu, come!"

"Don't worry about me. Go first!" Xu Mu waved her on.

"Alright!"

She vaulted over the wall, landing silently inside.

Xu Mu put his hands in his pockets and used Cloud Steps.

Stepping on the air itself — one step, two, three — he effortlessly crossed the wall.

Meng Wanyue used her scanner, confirming the surrounding cameras were offline.

"Come on, coast is clear."

Xu Mu grabbed her hand and led her inside the villa. His senses told him all the guards were busy fighting the fire in the front yard.

Following his memory, he led her straight to the study.

"Check where we can install the camera," he said.

Meng Wanyue surveyed the room, then pointed. "That outlet there — we can connect through the wiring. The camera will run continuously."

"Good. Do it."

Xu Mu spread his awareness to the maximum, keeping watch.

Meng Wanyue swiftly unpacked her tools, unscrewed the outlet, and installed the pinhole camera inside. After connecting the wiring and resealing the panel, she put everything back into her backpack.

"Done, President Xu."

"Let's go upstairs."

He took her hand, pulling her quickly out of the study and closing the door.

"What is it?" Meng Wanyue asked, puzzled but following closely.

"Someone's coming."

Through his Divine Eye, Xu Mu saw a man approaching the villa.

If they tried to leave through the main door, they'd run right into him.

They went to the second floor instead. Xu Mu opened a rear window and jumped out.

Meng Wanyue followed, landing beside him. She looked at him in surprise — how had he known someone was approaching?

The two slipped away from the Feng estate and drove off.

They didn't go far, parking a short distance away to watch.

About seven or eight minutes later, the black smoke from the fire completely faded.

Xu Mu smiled. "Let's head back."

Meng Wanyue nodded.

——

Back in Jiang City

Both of them returned home separately.

Xu Mu lay on his couch, eyes closed, taking a moment to rest. It had been a long day.

Then, the doorbell of his villa rang.

Using his Divine Eye, he saw who it was — Xiao Ran.

"What is she doing here?" Xu Mu muttered in confusion, rising to open the door.
