In a huge forest, the birds singing, trees spanning meters high, endless in plain sight, green moss covering, vines intertwined together, fruits hanging in them in myriad colors.
A flowing river, the air gave off the scent of dust and wood. It was a beautiful scenery, then suddenly a whooshing sound was heard.
A black figure was running through the forest at a very fast speed. The figure, about two meters tall, looked very much like that of a male. He wore black pants, red armored boots, on his hands he wore black fingerless gloves, on his left glove two good looking rings where worn on it—one on the index finger, the other on the pinky finger. From the runes etched on them, they seemed to be costly storage rings.
A hoodie jacket, which was not zipped, revealing a chest armor worn on an ash color T-shirt underneath.
The hood covered his head, with a few strands of pink hair perked out from underneath the hood.
A white mask with black lightning patterns etched across it covered its face. His eyes, crimson in color, were visible through the hole. On his left hand a panel displaying some kind of radar, and this person was approaching the red dot displayed on the radar.
So Mr. White Mask kept muttering as he ran, his surroundings blurring. "Fifty meter, thirty meters, twenty meters, ten meters, five meters."
"And finally," he said, as he came to a sudden abrupt stop in front of a huge tree.
He glanced up at one of the biggest branches on the tree.
Crouched on the tree was a magic beast, a giant gorilla at about four meters huge with bulky muscles covered in loose black skin and yellow fur, peacefully munching on a banana with a huge bunch by its side.
Sensing another presence, it glanced down from the tree and gave a low dismissive growl, which seemed to be some kind of warning.
Unperturbed by this, Mr. White Mask muttered, "A D- magic beast, almost D-level, judging by the Aura alone," as he reached for the hood, pulling it over, revealing a short purple hair with a few streaks of silver and two red crystal shaped earrings. His gloved hands reached for his earrings, supplying a bit of mana into them causing them to glow up as they morphed into a pair of clawed crimson gauntlets.
The beast, perhaps feeling ignored, gave another growl, though louder and more territorial.
Looking up at the beast, Mr. White Mask raised his left hand, which was now flowing with crimson color Aether, above his head in a deliberate claw shape slow motion.
The crimson energy was perfectly balanced—a flawless 1:2:3 ratio of Mental, Mana, and Physical energy Aether.
With a fast motion he swung his hand downwards, releasing a five slash claw shaped Aether strike. Aether: Claw Strike!
The branch broke into pieces when the Attack hit it. Displaying unexpected agility for its size, the beast leapt quickly onto another branch just before the strike hit, which unfortunately snapped under its weight. It plummeted directly towards the earth in respect to gravity.
It raised a large amount of dust as it landed, then a loud "Rawwwr!" roar sounded, causing a wave that dispersed the surrounding dust, revealing the beast's full visage and chasing away the surrounding birds.
Its blue eyes displaying nothing but anger and bloodlust.
"Come on, beast," He taunted the beast as he set his stance in a combat posture.
Angered, the beast with another roar, lunged at The man. His opponent moved with great speed, meeting it halfway. Mid-air with no way to dodge or adjust, the beast crashed head first, directly meeting the white mask's knee which flared with Aether right at the moment of impact. Aether: Impact!.
Crimson color, somewhat transparent chains suddenly sprouted from Mr. White Mask's gauntlets, wrapping around the the arms of the beast. He exerted force on the chains, then swung the huge beast, causing it to crash on a tree, snapping it in half.
As the groggy beast tried to stand, The man moved at a speed so fast that it looked like he disappeared from his previous position and appeared in front of the beast, throwing a heavy punch backed by Aether Impact—an instinct etched deep into his subconscious—towards the face of the beast.
The beast, however, countered by swinging its huge hand to meet the fist, redirecting it.
It then swung its other fist towards Mr. White Mask, which he caught with his free hand.
The beast gave a loud roar, then opened its jaws wide to the limit, a cyan sphere made of Aether constantly rotating in it.
Sensing the danger, and precisely anticipating the sphere's detonation time, the human kicked its chin hard, causing it to snap shut, and the cyan energy ball to detonate in the mouth of the beast.
Leaping back a few feet away from the beast, Mr. White Mask raised his right hand, pointing his index finger towards the beast. He muttered as Mana flared around him, "Magic: Ice bullet," sending a fast projectile towards the beast, still reeling from the damage caused by its own attack.
The ice bullet hit the beast square in the chest, sending it down to one knee. The ice which hit it spread fast, covering its entire body in seconds.
The beast raised his head and saw the man slowly walking to it, his left gauntlet poised in a claw shape.
Slowly raising his hand as Crimson Aether flowing around it, sensing the danger the beast tried to move but its body had been covered by ice—something it didn't notice before due to its thick fur.
In its panic it instinctively released a burst of Aether, shattering the ice.
It quickly raised both hands clasped above its head, wanting to smash Mr. Man to death, but it was too late. The male was right in front of it and his hands swiped across the neck of the beast. Aether: Claw Strike!.
The beast's expression froze as streaks of blood gushed out from five slash injuries on its neck. The beast, perhaps in a dying struggle, brought the clasped hands down on the man, but then a punch slammed, powered by Aether Impact, slammed into its guts, sending it tumbling away.
The dying beast once again got up shakily, eyes fixed on The man who wore a white mask. It gave a low roar causing it to spot blood as it charged at the man, but the man's eyes showed no fluctuation at the attacking beast. His body not even moving to defend, as if he was looking at a dead animal. And indeed he was. The beast threw a punch which stopped a few centimeters from his face. Then the beast fell face first with a heavy thud.
The man squatted down in front of the fallen beast, flipped it over on its back, then pierced the torso of the dead beast.
He moved his inserted hand inside the beast for a few seconds as if looking for something, then took out his hand, holding a blue glowing crystal—a mana core.
He channeled Mana into the earrings, causing the gauntlets to merge back into them.
He then channeled Mana into the storage ring at his Index finger, storing the body of the dead beast in it. He did the same to the ring on the pinky finger, storing the Mana core in it.
He stood up and took out the radar once more. The last blinking red light was his last destination of the day. Four down, one to go. With that thought in mind, he disappeared from his spot, leaving countless after images.
