Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

Of course, I'll have to find an opportunity. I'll make my move when we get to a deserted place.

Milim's expression was calm, but the killing intent in her eyes didn't lessen in the slightest.

Leaving aside the future influence the nun would have on Linlin, her status as a human trafficker alone was enough to make Milim want to cut her into a thousand pieces.

Milim didn't have to wait long. The boat soon docked, and the nun was the first to step ashore, turning to introduce the new place to the two girls.

"In a little while, I'll take you to your new home, the Sheep's House! There, you'll meet new friends, and they won't treat you like a monster, Linlin." During their time together, the nun had learned why Linlin had been abandoned.

To have killed a giant at such a young age and been cast away on a deserted island as a monster... in the eyes of an ordinary person, Linlin was certainly a monster, but in the nun's eyes, this was a bonus.

Once a child with such exceptional talent was sold, she would bring in more money than the last 100 children she had sold combined.

Just as the nun was about to say something more, a dragon's claw pierced straight through her chest.

The nun's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked down at the dragon claw that had impaled her. Looking up, she saw the short little girl she had been ignoring.

She was staring at her with ice-cold eyes.

Before the nun could say another word, Milim pulled out her claw. The nun collapsed to the ground, and Milim disgustedly tossed the heart that symbolized her life force into the sea!

Linlin couldn't quite process what had just happened. Why had her sister suddenly killed the nun who had come to rescue them?

Seeing Linlin's dazed expression, Milim flicked her on the forehead.

"This person was a villain. She wanted to sell us for money!"

"Is that so?" Linlin tilted her head and thought for a moment. Although she was a bit confused, she ultimately decided that her sister would not lie to her.

"Then she's a bad guy! How dare she trick me!" Linlin grabbed the nun's leg and, with a mighty swing, flung her.

Under the immense force, the nun's body quickly disappeared from sight.

After calming down, Linlin looked at her imposing and majestic older sister and scratched her head sheepishly.

"I threw it away!"

Milim sighed. Since it was already thrown away, what could be done? Linlin was her sister, after all.

Originally, Milim had planned to take the nun's body to the Sheep's House to recruit some followers. After all, all the children in the Sheep's House possessed considerable talent and came from various races.

These people could be her capital for setting sail. Otherwise, was she supposed to rely on Linlin to steer the ship?

But going there directly wouldn't make much of a difference anyway. It was just a group of kids; a simple bluff would probably be enough.

However, the nun hadn't specified the exact location of the Sheep's House, so Milim would have to search for it.

"Linlin, wait here for me for a moment," Milim said to Linlin, who was standing beside her. Then, a pair of dragon wings sprouted from her back, and she shot up into the sky.

"She's flying! That's so cool! I want to fly too." Linlin watched her sister ascend into the sky, her eyes filled with curiosity and envy.

But her sister had told her to wait here, so Linlin could only wait. She took a fruit from the bag of fruit she carried.

What Linlin didn't notice was that the moment she picked it up, the fruit suddenly changed. She popped it into her mouth, chewed twice, and swallowed it.

Flying high in the sky, Milim's dragon eyes continuously scanned the villages below. In no time, she had found her target.

Descending from the sky, she was about to call Linlin to go to the Sheep's House with her when she noticed that Linlin's body was engulfed in azure flames.

Milim was startled. Forgetting everything else, she grabbed Linlin's body and pushed her into the sea. The seawater did not extinguish the flames, but Linlin's struggles became weak and feeble.

Understanding dawned. A calmer Milim realized what was happening and pulled Linlin back out of the water.

Linlin lay on the shore, spitting out a large mouthful of water, and asked aggrievedly.

"Sister, did Linlin do something wrong? Why did you throw me into the sea?"

"Hahahaha! I'm sorry, Linlin. I saw you were on fire and thought you'd caught fire, so I wanted to throw you in the sea to put it out," Milim said, scratching her cheek in embarrassment.

"By the way, Linlin, did you eat any bad-tasting fruit?"

"Oh, so that's what it was. I did eat a really bad-tasting fruit just now, and then flames suddenly appeared on my body."

"Is this the Devil Fruit you were talking about, sister?" Linlin suddenly remembered something. She excitedly waved her arms, trying to fly like Milim. But unlike Milim, it was Linlin's actual arms that transformed into wings.

Linlin flew into the sky as well.

Seeing this familiar ability, memories from her past life came flooding back to Milim.

This was the Phoenix Fruit! The Devil Fruit that granted its user near-immortal life force, allowing them to recover instantly even if cut in half.

And now, this fruit had become Linlin's ability. The thought of Linlin's "Iron Balloon" constitution combined with this near-immortal regenerative power...

Milim shuddered. The thought of that combination was terrifying.

"Well, things just got a whole lot more interesting!"

After watching Linlin play for a while, Milim explained the weaknesses of Devil Fruits to her as they walked towards the Sheep's House.

Arriving at the entrance of the Sheep's House, Milim kicked the door open and shouted, "Everyone, get out here!"

Hearing the noise, the orphans of the Sheep's House came out of their rooms fearfully. But when they saw that the one who kicked the door was just a little pipsqueak...

The orphans suddenly grew bold.

"You little pipsqueak, why did you kick our door?"

"If you don't give us an explanation, believe it or not, we'll beat you up!"

"Hoh! You all seem pretty arrogant." Milim put her hands on her hips and gave a wicked grin.

"Then let's see you try, little brats."

The children here were not old, and they couldn't hold back after being provoked.

They swarmed towards Milim, intending to teach her a lesson.

But the final result was that each of them was sent flying with a single kick from Milim.

Some of the older children struggled to get up from the ground and stood in front of the younger ones.

"I'm warning you, the giants will notice the commotion here soon. You'd better leave while you can."

"Hmph, I'd like to leave too, but a certain nun asked me to look after you all," Milim said with a sly smile.

Hearing this, the boy's eyes widened. "What? If you're here to look after us, then where did the nun go?"

"She's dead."

"How is that possible? You're lying! How could a good person like the nun die?" The children all stared at Milim with expressions of disbelief.

"She didn't have to die, but she saw someone fall into the sea and rushed to swim over and save them. In the end, they were both swallowed by a giant fish."

"Either way, there's no way they could have survived," Milim said, shrugging her shoulders with feigned regret.

Behind her, Linlin whispered, "Sister, are you lying?"

Milim replied in a low voice, "You, shut up!"
