Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: Ichiraku Ramen

"Uh, I think so. I remember when I tested his elemental affinities and found out he had wind, fire, and lightning, I threw three ninjutsu at him. The next day, he could use all of them effortlessly."

Jiraiya recalled what happened after he first took Minato as his student. But now, seeing this, it probably wasn't the next day; the kid likely learned those ninjutsu just by looking at them once.

"You don't even know your own disciple, and you call yourself a master, guaranteeing things to me," Hiruzen Sarutobi said, looking at Jiraiya speechlessly.

Hearing this, Jiraiya scratched his head in embarrassment again. He felt like he'd been scratching his head a lot lately. He wondered if he'd go bald at this rate. Unfortunately, being bald wouldn't grant him invincible power.

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Minato in the crystal ball and made a decision. "Jiraiya, I've decided to make Minato a priority for special training. After he graduates, you will personally lead his team."

Jiraiya was surprised by Hiruzen's decision for special training, but considering his disciple's monstrous talent, he naturally agreed with both hands up. He proudly told Hiruzen about his one-year agreement with Minato.

Hiruzen immediately approved the decision.

Minato, of course, had no idea that his use of the Flying Thunder God Technique had been discovered by two peeping toms.

After exhausting his chakra, his space development had reached 3%. It seemed that using it about five times increased it by 1%. This was in the early stages; later on, as the development level increased, the gains from each practice session would be smaller.

Indeed, training alone wasn't enough. The best way to develop his skills was to defeat more enemies. He just hoped the Uchiha clan would be a bit more cooperative and send more people, but not someone too strong right off the bat.

While others feared the power of the Uchiha clan, Minato saw them as a whetstone. If they knew, they would probably stop at nothing to burn him to ashes.

His chakra was depleted, and seeing that it was still early, Minato could only sit cross-legged on the ground to slowly recover his chakra, preparing to train for a while longer.

In the afternoon, he used all his recovered chakra to practice the Flying Thunder God Technique, raising his space development to 6%. Seeing that it was almost time for the Ninja Academy to let out, Minato stopped his training. He planned to invite Kushina to dinner.

At the academy entrance, he saw his shadow clone and Kushina walking out of the school gates together.

"Poof!"

After directly dispelling the shadow clone, Minato walked towards Kushina.

"Hey, Minato! Using a shadow clone to attend class! I'm going to tell the teacher," Kushina said, her cheeks puffed out. In reality, deep down, she was bothered that the real Minato wasn't attending class with her.

"My, my, it's all my fault. How about I treat you to dinner as an apology?" Minato quickly consoled her. This way, he had a perfect reason to ask her to dinner.

"Then I'll graciously forgive you. I want to eat ramen. Do you know a good ramen place in Konoha?" Kushina said excitedly.

"I do know a place with especially delicious ramen. Let's go, I'll take you there." Minato nodded and then headed towards the legendary Ichiraku Ramen.

After arriving at Ichiraku Ramen, Minato ordered two bowls of Miso Ramen, knowing that Kushina liked salty flavors.

"How did you know my taste?" Kushina asked Minato in a low voice.

"Because I like Miso flavor, so I was sure you would like it too," Minato said, subtly flirting with Kushina.

As expected, Kushina didn't ask any more questions. She lowered her head, her face red, thinking: Does this guy mean that what he likes, I must also like?

Minato knew when to stop. Seeing Kushina's reaction, he didn't continue to tease her.

Before long, the two bowls of ramen arrived. Seeing the ramen, Kushina couldn't wait to start eating.

"Wow, this is so delicious! Thank you for the recommendation, Minato. From now on, I'm only eating ramen at Ichiraku!" After the first bite, Kushina began to praise it.

"Thank you for your review, miss. I appreciate your approval," Teuchi said happily, stepping forward after hearing Kushina's words.

"It is indeed good, quite delicious," Minato also nodded, finishing the bowl of ramen in front of him.

"Ah, I'm so full. I want to eat here again tomorrow," Kushina said, patting her stomach in satisfaction.

"Eat, eat, I'll bring you," Minato said, leaving the money on the counter. He said goodbye to Teuchi and led Kushina out of the ramen shop.

"Where to now? A walk after dinner before heading home?" After leaving the ramen shop, Minato asked Kushina, who was beside him.
