Ruby's POV
What the hell was happening here.
I couldn't decide what made my blood boil more. The fact that Elias had spent last night with her, or that they had made decisions about my life without asking me first.
"You had absolutely no right." The words came out like venom through my gritted teeth. "Do you hear me? No right whatsoever to make that choice for me. I don't need your help or your fancy healers. I just need you to stay away from me and Elias."
She raised one perfectly sculpted eyebrow, looking completely unbothered. "Where is all this anger coming from? I think you're misunderstanding something here."
"Misunderstanding?" I slammed the door shut behind me, my eyes blazing. "Fine. Let's clear this up right now. Why are you really here? Because I seriously doubt you give a damn about saving some stranger's life. So let's drop the act. You want him back, don't you? You're regretting that divorce, and now you're here trying to steal him from me."
