Ruby's POV
Bonnie had rushed off to locate Elias.
As for me? I stood frozen, completely lost about what my next move should be.
I drifted from the dining room in a trance, my feet carrying me mechanically over scattered debris and shattered glass fragments until I found myself downstairs.
Fortunately, the evening's formal event had concluded before violence erupted, and the majority of attendees had already retreated to their accommodations. The casualty count remained relatively low.
However, the grand ballroom resembled a war zone. The massive crystal chandelier's collapse had obliterated nearly every piece of furniture and decoration in its path.
Lyanna and Kate had already arrived on scene, desperately attempting to maintain some semblance of order amid the chaos.
"Ruby!" Kate sprinted toward me the instant our eyes met. "What in God's name happened here? Where's Elias?"
