Ruby's POV
The nightmare felt so real I could taste the fear on my tongue.
Someone was hunting me through shadows I couldn't escape. His face remained hidden, but his intent was crystal clear - he wanted me dead.
My legs carried me through endless darkness until I reached the familiar gates of Elias's estate. But they were sealed shut. I hammered against the iron bars until my fists bled, screaming for help that never came.
When I finally looked up, there he was.
Elias stood motionless at his second-floor window, those steel-gray eyes watching me with complete indifference. No emotion. No recognition. Nothing.
I begged him to save me, my voice breaking with desperation. He never moved.
The killer's footsteps grew closer behind me.
"No, please-!"
I jolted awake, my scream still echoing in the room.
