Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 See, you’re getting anxious again!

Uchiha Fugaku couldn't stop her.

He could only follow Tsunade's arrangements.

Of course, it was impossible to just stay put; they had to enter a combat state, ready to provide support at any time. As for whether it would alert the Hidden Mist?

That no longer mattered.

Tsunade couldn't be harmed.

Oh, right, send the message back.

Uchiha Fugaku was really busy.

However, none of this had anything to do with Bai Mu or Tsunade.

Actually, Bai Mu didn't even plan to bring Hyuga Reijin, but with the Byakugan's power, it would be easier. Plus, if no Ninja from the Hyuga Clan were brought, how would they conduct reconnaissance?

So, he could only bring him along.

But he probably wouldn't be used much, because Bai Mu's goal was precise strikes: find the Third Mizukage and kill him. It would be even better if they could defeat the main force of the Hidden Mist.

And accomplishing this shouldn't be difficult. If the Third Mizukage was coming, then a group of elite Ninja would certainly arrive.

Since that was the case, it was just a matter of convenience.

"I agreed to your recklessness. I wonder what Uchiha Fugaku will tell the Old Man (referring to Hiruzen Sarutobi)," Tsunade said, standing side by side with Bai Mu at the camp entrance, complaining along the way.

They were waiting for someone: Esdeath and Alice Lize, and also Hyuga Reijin, who needed to give some instructions and make arrangements.

Otherwise, there would be no one to oversee the Hyuga Clan. After all, he was a Ninja of the main family and the deputy commander for this mission, leading the Ninja of the Hyuga Clan. It would be truly difficult to leave without giving instructions and advice.

"Even if he says something, it won't matter. It's too late to send information back now; it won't be that quick to go back and forth, and we should be done by then." Bai Mu was very confident, believing that the battle would end quickly.

If you talk like that, I really don't know what to say.

Tsunade couldn't possibly say no, could she?

Considering Bai Mu's strength.

And those two women.

They could indeed do it.

It wasn't that she underestimated the Hidden Mist, but rather that the strength of Bai Mu, Esdeath, and Alice Lize was indeed too great, so Tsunade had to acknowledge it.

"Remember, I'm repaying a favor, which is why I'm going crazy with you. I hope you don't disappoint me. But I can tell you this: no matter what your goal is, even if you achieve the greatest military merits here, nothing will change. Not to mention, you're not even the head of the Uchiha Clan anymore, so don't expect any changes."

Tsunade took a deep breath, her gaze cold as she stared at Bai Mu, telling him that she had agreed to go wild with him, but that didn't mean she was his ally, Uchiha Bai Mu.

Seriously, don't even think that way.

"Mm, I know."

Bai Mu didn't care; instead, he smiled and said.

"You know, so what exactly do you want to do?" Tsunade was truly curious. Bai Mu clearly knew himself, so why was he still doing this?

Is it for Konoha?

The problem is, I don't quite trust someone like you.

I don't believe you're doing this without a personal motive. If you say you're not, I definitely won't believe it.

Bai Mu rubbed his chin and said softly, "Lady Tsunade, if the war ends and we enter the post-war recovery period, Konoha will clearly need a new Hokage."

"No, are you aiming for Hokage?"

Tsunade's eyes widened in disbelief.

What great ambition, actually aiming for the position of Hokage! You really open my eyes. As expected of the naturally evil Uchiha… Seriously, you surprise me greatly.

"You're overthinking it, I'm not." Bai Mu shook his head, indicating that it wasn't the case at all, and she had completely misunderstood.

"Not? Then what do you mean?" However, Tsunade completely disbelieved him now. She had reason to suspect Bai Mu was aiming for the Hokage position.

You say no, but I don't believe you!

"The Third Hokage will definitely retire, but given his current situation, it's impossible for him to completely relinquish power. So, a Fourth Hokage who is easy to control will be needed."

"I say, aren't you being a bit too malicious towards the Old Man (referring to Hiruzen Sarutobi)?" Tsunade's beautiful eyes narrowed, not very pleased with this statement.

She knew that the Uchiha Clan disliked the Hokage lineage and harbored great malice, but was his statement a bit too much?

"Am I?"

Bai Mu pouted.

Malice?

Clearly, the Hokage faction harbored greater malice towards us Uchiha. Your statement completely reverses the situation; it's not like that at all.

"Besides, it's the Hokage faction that has too much malice towards us Uchiha, and even the Senju Clan was backlashed. Now, this outcome…"

Before he could finish, Tsunade interrupted directly, glaring angrily: "Brat, don't provoke me!"

"See, you're getting anxious again!" Bai Mu shrugged, his expression unchanged as he spoke.

Why get anxious?

Getting anxious won't do.

"You're the one who's anxious."

Tsunade's face darkened, her eyes shifting uncertainly.

Bai Mu's sarcastic tone truly made her dislike him, which indeed made Tsunade a bit displeased, and her tone of voice showed a significant change.

"Alright, then I'm anxious." Bai Mu said casually.

Anxious, truly anxious.

Then he wouldn't tease her anymore.

Besides, it was time to go!

Esdeath and Alice Lize had already arrived, and although Hyuga Reijin had also arrived, he brought two Ninja from the Hyuga Clan.

They seemed to be Genin, and from the looks of it, most likely from the branch family.

"Didn't I say one Jonin from the Hyuga Clan? Why did you bring two Genin?" Tsunade, seeing this, was very displeased.

She was already uncomfortable from Bai Mu's sarcasm, and now Hyuga Reijin's situation undoubtedly made her feel that he was being outwardly compliant but inwardly defiant.

"My apologies, Lady Tsunade, the situation is special. These are Ninja from the branch family, and they must be brought along," Hyuga Reijin could only respond with a bitter smile.

In reality, he had no choice. Ninja from the branch family absolutely had to be brought; he couldn't go alone. He had to have branch family Ninja accompany him.

"What use are two Genin?" Tsunade indicated that if he brought anyone, he should bring Jonin, not Genin.

"With Lady Tsunade present, and this being a reconnaissance mission, two Genin plus myself are sufficient." Hyuga Reijin didn't believe that what was said in the tent earlier about fighting while reconnoitering was true; he just took it as Bai Mu speaking casually.

How is that possible?

I know the Uchiha are arrogant, but not to this extent; that would be too foolish.

And Lady Tsunade wouldn't be so impulsive, so Hyuga Reinin remained calm, not believing a major battle would erupt. It was just reconnaissance, nothing unexpected, so he needed to stay composed.

"Do as you please. Take care of yourselves; I can't look after you. If you can't handle it, then be sensible and retreat to a safe place."

Seeing this, Tsunade said no more. "Just take care of yourselves; don't expect any help. If a fight breaks out, retreat immediately."
