Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Encounter with the Hidden Mist

Within the Land of Whirlpools, in the dense forest leaning towards the northwest.

Dozens of figures stood densely on the trees, their Hidden Mist Village headbands indicating that this group were ninja from the Hidden Mist.

"Is your mouth really that effective?" Baimu couldn't help but complain to Alice.

She said there would be changes, that it wouldn't be too smooth, and that they might be attacked on the way back, and it actually happened. You really are a jinx, and a very effective one.

"It has nothing to do with me!"

Alice quickly denied it, a blush flashing across her small face.

"She said that? That's great, Alice, you should say more in the future, I like it." Esdeath, hearing this, revealed a bloodthirsty smile, feeling incredibly excited.

Tsunade: "???"

Is this person sick?

She truly couldn't understand Esdeath's current state. They were already surrounded, yet she could still smile?

And she even seemed very happy, not appearing like a normal person.

"What's wrong with her?"

Tsunade frowned deeply, having no choice but to ask Baimu. It seemed this woman wasn't quite normal, and she shouldn't drag them down.

"Lady Tsunade, you can rest assured; the matter is easily resolved." Baimu wasn't worried about Esdeath. Instead, he planned to let Esdeath handle most of the Hidden Mist ninja, and if there were any stragglers, he would deal with them.

As for Tsunade, she and Alice could just stand and watch the show; there was no need for them to get involved.

"You mean, she'll handle all these Hidden Mist ninja by herself?" Tsunade was startled to hear this, having already understood Baimu's meaning.

Baimu shrugged and said lightly, "That's naturally possible, but if there are any stragglers, I'll take care of them. You and Alice just stand aside and watch. She will protect you."

"No, are you treating me like a useless person?" Tsunade heard this and was greatly displeased, frowning slightly and looking at Baimu with an unhappy expression.

"Not useless, but rather, Lady Tsunade is not needed to exert herself for now. These people are not worthy of fighting Lady Tsunade." Baimu explained.

Tsunade: "..."

What can I say?

He's praising me like this, giving me so much face, but is this still the Uchiha?

No, no, Grandfather Second wouldn't be wrong. The Uchiha are inherently evil; this must be their trick.

"How did so many Hidden Mist Village ninja come here? The main Konoha camp is ahead, and there are still dozens of enemies ambushing here. Is this reasonable?"

Tsunade raised a question, believing there was a problem with the route.

Baimu continued to explain, "The route we took isn't quite right; it's closer to the Hidden Mist's station. Perhaps that's why the enemy had time to mobilize. After all, your journey caused quite a stir, so you were naturally scouted."

"You mean, it's still my fault?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow, her tone laced with a hint of displeasure.

"Lady Tsunade, that's not important." Baimu said to Tsunade in a casual, unhurried tone.

What do you mean, not important?

That's just nonsense.

But while Tsunade was currently seething with anger, the Hidden Mist ninja were even more furious. They hadn't expected the enemy to be so arrogant.

"Kid, how dare you be so arrogant, Uchiha brat, you're asking for death!"

The Hidden Mist ninja immediately began to shout.

Baimu and Tsunade conversed as if no one else was there.

This undoubtedly provoked the group.

Furthermore, that was Princess Tsunade!

If they could kill or capture her, the blow to Konoha would be unimaginable, and this would be a great achievement. No one wouldn't be tempted, and there were quite a few elite Hidden Mist ninja here.

There were many bloodline limit ninja, such as the Kaguya and Hozuki clans, famous bloodline limit ninja clans within the Hidden Mist Village. Besides these clans, the rest should be Hidden Mist Anbu and some elite Chunin.

All these people combined amounted to at least fifty, nearly sixty people.

And a combination of over fifty elite Hidden Mist ninja clearly showed they had gone all out.

There were clan members, Anbu, and a group of elite Chunin acting as a diversion.

Such a powerful combination clearly indicated a premeditated plan.

Was it Madara Uchiha? The intelligence provided by White Zetsu.

Madara Uchiha is determined to come after me.

Why am I so important to him?

Is it because of Esdeath and the others?

Or is it that old schemer, Black Zetsu?

Hmm, that's hard to say... "This combination, what a heavy price. It doesn't look like..." Tsunade showed a thoughtful expression. She wasn't an idiot and quickly realized the problem.

She looked at Baimu and said, "It seems they're coming for you, and I'm just an incidental target. So, this is your fault!"

Baimu heard this and said with a smile, "Lady Tsunade, we are all Konoha ninja, and the enemy are Hidden Mist Village ninja. They are coming for us, not specifically for one person."

"Hmph, they're coming for you. Are you just going to watch that woman handle it alone?" Tsunade snorted, not agreeing with Baimu's statement.

She had figured out that they were indeed coming for Uchiha Baimu, so this already explained the situation. In any case, Tsunade didn't feel she was wrong.

"Don't worry, Esdeath can handle it." Baimu said faintly, his words full of absolute trust and affirmation for Esdeath.

"You really trust her."

Tsunade frowned slightly, still not entirely convinced.

Although she spoke of the inherently evil Uchiha brat, Baimu and the two women had saved her, so Tsunade wasn't the kind of person who would forget a kindness.

No matter what, the Uchiha were a Konoha ninja clan, a member of Konoha. Now, facing the Hidden Mist Village, they had to unite against the external threat.

The Hidden Mist ninja could no longer tolerate Baimu and Tsunade's disregardful conversation, Alice's casual movements, and Esdeath standing alone at the very front, seemingly intending to take on all of them single-handedly.

All of this had provoked these Hidden Mist ninja. They were clearly surrounded, so how dared they be so arrogant?

Unbearable, it was impossible to endure.

The first to launch an attack.

Was naturally the Hidden Mist.

Several Hidden Mist ninja quickly formed hand signs and activated their most commonly used ninjutsu, and also the Hidden Mist's favorite ninjutsu.

"Water Style: Hidden Mist Jutsu!"

The mist covered the forest almost in the blink of an eye.

The dense fog dispersed, and all that could be seen was white, completely obscuring vision.

Moreover, this thick fog not only interfered with sight but also prevented enemies from responding calmly, affecting them in all aspects. However, for Bai Mu and the others, its effect was minimal.

But the Hidden Mist side believed it was effective.

Even the Sharingan's vision would be interfered with.

Unless it was the Byakugan's x-ray vision, there were clearly no Hyuga clan ninjas present, so these Hidden Mist ninjas naturally thought they had the upper hand.

Killing this Uchiha brat wouldn't be difficult. Tsunade might be tricky, but we have more people, so what's there to fear?

"Haha, how overconfident!"

Esdeath laughed up at the sky as ice manifested from all directions, freezing the attacking kunai and senbon. Two Hidden Mist ninjas who tried to ambush from behind were also directly frozen into ice pillars.
