Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 "Kid, what are you looking at?"

"Uchiha, truly troublesome people."

Tsunade made no secret of her apprehension; she couldn't remain indifferent to Bai Mu displaying such power, especially since he was so young.

Mangekyo Sharingan!

According to her great-uncle, once they possessed these eyes, the Uchiha would become abnormal.

They were already abnormal, and now they would become even more so, so Tsunade was naturally very wary, fearing that Bai Mu would affect the village.

Although there were some unspeakable dealings within the village, and the dark side was growing, Tsunade couldn't possibly say she didn't care about Konohagakure; that was impossible.

That was her grandfather's legacy; Tsunade couldn't just ignore it. She might say she didn't care, but her actions were very honest.

Upon seeing Bai Mu's Susanoo, she immediately realized that he had activated the Mangekyo Sharingan, so she definitely had to take it seriously, in order to prevent internal strife in the village.

The Uchiha clan was already restless, and Bai Mu was so young and had awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan. To say that the Uchiha clan had no ideas... is that even possible?

Tsunade, at least, didn't believe it.

Bai Mu understood Tsunade's meaning; her words were typical of Tobirama Senju's way of thinking. Given Tsunade's relationship with Tobirama, she naturally wouldn't have any good feelings towards the Uchiha.

Of course, it wasn't to the extent of the fear and hostility shown by Hiruzen Sarutobi's faction, but there was certainly no goodwill; it was more about mutual non-interference.

As long as it didn't harm the village, Tsunade would ignore you, but if it did, then it would be different.

And since Tsunade had pointed it out so clearly, Bai Mu couldn't not respond. He immediately retorted, "Lady Tsunade, do you think I will pose a threat to the village?"

Tsunade pursed her lips and said with an annoyed expression:

"Isn't it obvious? The Uchiha are already restless, and you have many internal problems. And you've awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan; I'm sure you know what that means for the Uchiha. So, do you think your internal hawks can resist not rebelling? I, for one, don't believe it."

"My statement can't be wrong, can it?"

In Tsunade's view, there was no possibility of error. Given the Uchiha's situation, if they didn't go crazy upon learning that someone had awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan, she wouldn't believe it!

As she spoke, she walked towards Bai Mu, her high-heeled sandals clacking with each long stride.

Due to Tsunade's wide gait, her waist and hips swayed with each step, making her already exaggerated figure appear even more graceful and alluring.

Tsunade seemed to want to suppress him with her aura, but as she approached Bai Mu, she realized that this kid, though young, only around fifteen, was quite tall.

The young man in front of her was at least 178 cm tall, much taller than herself, and he was still young and growing, so he would likely be even taller in a few years—anything less than 180 or 190 cm would be abnormal.

Because of this, Tsunade found herself in an awkward position; even in high heels, she was slightly shorter than him. It was clear that trying to suppress him with her aura wouldn't work.

"Kid, what are you looking at?"

However, Tsunade quickly noticed Bai Mu's gaze; it was completely undisguised. Was he really staring so blatantly?

Bai Mu replied calmly, "Nothing. I'm just troubled by how to make Lady Tsunade overcome her immense prejudice."

"Prejudice? I don't have any prejudice."

Tsunade snorted coldly, subtly taking a few steps back.

After a pause, she added, "You little pervert, staring at me like that, do you think it's very big?"

"Indeed, it is very big," Bai Mu admitted openly. It wasn't something to deny, as it was the truth.

Then, before Tsunade could react, he added, "I'm an honest person; I have to tell the truth."

There's nothing I can do. I'm a good kid, an honest good kid. If I have to tell the truth, then I must.

Tsunade was furious when she heard Bai Mu shamelessly say such a thing. She immediately snapped, "It's big, is it? Do you want to touch it?"

Esdeath stood behind Bai Mu, watching the show with an indifferent attitude.

But Alizerise clearly couldn't tolerate it, her face sinking. "What are you two doing?"

"Lady Tsunade, let's go to the camp first. This Mist Village ambush might have follow-ups. The Third Mizukage is cunning, and I suspect he might have more tricks up his sleeve. Let's head to the camp first."

Seeing this, Bai Mu knew they couldn't dwell on such trivial matters. He immediately suggested returning to the camp first, wary of subsequent Mist Village attacks.

Then, he continued, "As for your concern about the Mangekyo Sharingan, I can tell you it hasn't been awakened. Don't assume I've awakened it just because I used Susanoo. You should know that if it were truly awakened, the burden on the eyes would be immense, and I wouldn't be able to use it so frequently, especially since Susanoo's burden is very heavy..."

"You said it yourself, Susanoo. How could it be activated without the Mangekyo Sharingan?" Tsunade completely disbelieved him. Her great-uncle was too familiar with the Uchiha, and she herself had some understanding.

The Mangekyo Sharingan—others might not know, but how could I not?

Bai Mu explained, "The Uchiha ancestors didn't need it. The evolution of the Mangekyo Sharingan is merely a result of diluted bloodline, which places too much burden on the eyes. I don't need such a path of evolution, and with my ocular power, activating Susanoo isn't difficult. Otherwise, I wouldn't use Susanoo so casually."

Finally, he added, "Furthermore, Lady Tsunade, my use of Susanoo in front of you is to show my sincerity, which means the fundamental premise of our cooperation is mutual trust."

"Are you kidding me?"

Tsunade found it preposterous.

You, an Uchiha, want to cooperate with me?

Forget it, I'm not getting involved in these matters.

"Let's not talk about this anymore. I don't want to discuss it now. Let me see Shizune first. And since I've come to the battlefield, I don't intend to leave just like that."

Tsunade decided to go to the outpost first, and make a decision after seeing Shizune. But she also told Bai Mu that she wouldn't leave easily, though this was mainly to repay a favor.

After all, you saved me. Regardless of your intentions, I, Tsunade, am not a shameless person. I still need to repay the favor. Moreover, it's wartime. Since I've come to the front lines, I can't just leave without a word, can I?

No, she couldn't.

Tsunade couldn't bring herself to do it.

She wasn't that kind of person.

If you weren't there, then so be it.

But since she was already at the front, Tsunade really couldn't just run off without a word.

"However, I can say one thing: I am only responsible for treating the wounded. Do not involve me in combat." Although Tsunade did not have hemophobia, she still had a certain trauma due to her brother's death.

Therefore, she was only responsible for treating the wounded, but as for going to the battlefield?

It could only be said that she couldn't; it wasn't that she was unable to return to the battlefield.

It was just that her brother's death had left a shadow.

So she didn't want to go to the battlefield.
