"Miss Grant, you've truly surprised me today," Lenn Perry said with a smile as he addressed Elle.
"Lenn, you should know that absence makes the heart grow fonder," Ella replied confidently. Since she had promised Lennox she could help him, she was more than capable of doing so.
Lenn took in Ella's proud demeanor, and the memory of that day when he saved her flashed through his mind once more.
Despite being such a frail and vulnerable girl, there was a fire burning fiercely in Ella Grant's eyes.
Seeing that Lenn Perry remained silent, she thought he still doubted her abilities.
"Don't worry, Seventh Master. This is just a small task for me. You'll see my skills in action soon."
"You won't lose out on that deal we made," she added confidently.
Lenn paused for a moment, then let out a light chuckle.
"Alright."
He didn't mention to Ella that it was just a painting and hardly worth mentioning; he simply found Oliver Grant unlikable. He hadn't expected Ella to react this way.
"Well, I'll be on my way then," Ellasaid, glancing at the time. If she didn't head back soon, Isaac Grant would start to get suspicious.
Lenn nodded, and just as Ella's figure was about to disappear around the corner, he called out to her.
"Miss Grant."
Ella turned her head back.
"If you need anything, feel free to come find me at Qingyuan."
Ella paused, unable to grasp the deeper meaning behind Lennox's words. She simply nodded in response before turning to leave.
Lenn Perry didn't know why he suddenly spoke up. He usually didn't involve himself in other people's business, especially not in the affairs of the Grant family.
But Ella Grant wanted revenge, and that path wouldn't be easy.
Oh well, he thought, I'll just consider it a good deed.
If Ella Grant knew what Lennox was thinking, she would probably scoff and say, "What a joke! Who needs pity?"
She was no longer the old Ella Grant. No one could walk all over her anymore. Everyone who had bullied her would pay the price!
On the way home, Ella noticed Isaac Grant hesitating, glancing at
