"What would you like to order?"
Lily looked at the waitress and sighed, "Just water would be fine."
The waitress scribbled her order in her notebook and left
Lily returned back to her work; she had to finish it before tomorrow or her boss might probably fire her. She was about to start typing when her phone vibrated
"I just spotted this girl across the cafe, and I think I have fallen in love with her but she's way out of my league."
Lily smiled
"Well, I think you should give it a shot; you might not know what happens."
She put the phone down and started to pack her stuff, when a tall, muscular man came right behind her
"Um, hello, I couldn't help but notice —"
Lily shut him up with her lips
"Well, I wasn't expecting that," the man replied with a grin
"Jonathan, what are you doing here anyway? Are you stalking me or something?" Lily raised a brow
"No, I was sitting in the back, and I saw you entering the cafe. I just got back from work."
"Mhm hm, yeah." Lily rolled her eyes
"But I did get you this." He removed a Haribo starmix from his bag and gave it to her
Lily punched him playfully and smiled
"Thanks, these are my favourite. How did you know anyway? I never told you."
"Yeah, I see this often in your trash can, I guess," he shrugged
Jonathan pulled out his phone and frowned
"Sweetie, I have to go. I have to go and pick up my mom from the store. Is dinner still on at your house?
"Yeah, it'll be ready by 6pm."
"Ok, will be there." He gave her a kiss and left the cafe.
Then suddenly she heard a car screeching outside, and Lily stopped what she was doing to look at the scene from the window.
Apparently, a car hit someone. She went outside to look at the individual, and her face became pale.
She quickly rushed to the scene and held the body in her hands.
"Somebody please call the ambulance."
