"Fuck! How the hell did we get so reckless. I thought we were doing okay," Erik said as he glided into the distance with speed.
He could feel the hot air skimming across his eyes as the sound of mild gusts of winds hit his ear occasionally. Beside him was Xin and Lance who were also drifting across the open field mid air. Flight was the easiest way to get to the shelter, and they couldn't waste any more time, seeing as Kaiden was still lying unconscious in Lance's arms.
He managed to use a little bit of fire spell to melt her skin, sealing the gaping hole before it got even more fatal than it already was. But that didn't do much, as Kaiden's pulse was already getting weaker. She had lost a lot of blood initially, and if they didn't get her to medical, things were only going to get worse.
"Hey don't beat yourself over it," Lance said, little beads of sweat were already starting to form on his forehead as a result of flying for an elongated period of time, and also the fact that Kaiden was quite heavy.
"Were almost out of the yellow zone. We'll be at the shelter in no time," Lance continued as he stared at the holographic map emitting from his wrist band.
"We better do," Erik replied in a cold voice.
Xin could tell that Erik was infuriated by the fact that Kaiden got stabbed by one of the creatures — not worried, but infuriated. She couldn't help but feel a little bit of envy as she flew in the air with an incredible speed. Looking past Erik, she could see her twin brother holding onto Kaiden with utmost care, not paying any attention to her. And Erik was only thinking about the well-being of Kaiden at the moment, deeming Xin's presence inconsequential.
"What if I was the one that got stabbed instead of this silver haired bitch? Will Erik exhibit the same kind of reaction?" Xin thought as she stared at the both of them continuously, not looking at the direction she was flying at.
Before any more thoughts could seep into her mind, a voice intruded her, cutting her waves of jealousy short.
"We're here. Finally we've made it," Lance said as he stared at his map with a beaming smile on his face.
Looking ahead, the group could see a change in the vegetation of the landscape. The aridity and heat they felt in the desert seemed to be getting replaced by a field of greenery, along with the satiating waft of the shrubby environment. They felt a cool air hit their skin, contary to the scorching heat they felt earlier. Flying ahead, the group could see various flowers situated at different plant sections in the field.
They saw countless group of students exiting the field — it looked like they were only starting to head out in search of beasts. They kept on gliding in the air for a while, welcoming the calmness of the gentle breeze against their skin with a satisfied look on their faces.
"How do you think Chuck's doing though?" Erik asked, eyes locked on his map.
"Come on, it's just a little task filled with a bit of disgust and puking. All he has to do it carve the bodies of the beasts till he has all their crystals," Xin said as she changed her trajectory slightly, inching herself closer to Erik slowly.
"I'm sure he's already done by now. He'll be here in no time."
Xin's words seemed to soothe Erik's restless mind, his frown dissipated as a minute feeling of calm washed over his being. Staring into the distance, the group could see several buildings coming into view. Starting from the sight of small building to the collosal towers, they could see the entirely of the shelter from their point of view.
They increased their speed as they flew, the sound of the winds became even more audible. Within a shirt period of time, they arrived at the shelter, blasting their way towards any medical center they could find.
Several people saw them, with an unresponsive body with them, all they did was put on a face of pity
"It seemes like the first victim is already here. Over confidence is what will get these students killed," a local said as he watched the group veer off.
The trio continued their flight, completely ignoring the attention they were attracting themselves. Erik and Lance kept their eyes focused on their maps, trying to find the nearest medic.
"There!!!" Erik yelled suddenly, "I've seen one."
Erik made a turn, still keeping his eyes on the map in his view. He wasn't bothered about running into anyone, he was flying at a high enough height. Lance and Xin followed him from behind, desperately wanting to get to the ground. They had been using their mana for a while, thus causing strains in their bodies.
Erik looked ahead, and he could see a gargantuan building with a "plus" sign on its top, signifying that it was a medical building. Erik and the twins blasted downwards, heading directly for the door to the building. Upon arriving at the entrance, they swung the double doors open with an extreme force as they made their way into the building.
Several heads turned towards them as they barged in. Looks of disgust filled the people's faces as they saw the group of students walking towards the receptionist without waiting for their turn.
"I need a healer… NOW!" Erik shouted with a raging voice, his energy spilled outwards, causing a bit of uneasiness to spread out.
The receptionist looked at Erik like he was a mad man that somehow managed to escape his healthcare facility, but upon noticing Kaiden's body still lying flatly on Lance's hand that was now shaking at this point, she composed herself immediately, and left her desk.
"Alright it's okay, I need you to hand her over so I can take her to the nearest room there is. She doesn't seem to be in any critical situation, so she doesn't need to go to the ER," the receptionist said, her face calm and straight.
"Wait, can't we also come along?" Lance said, feeling a bit reluctant to hand Kaiden over. The whole thing made him feel uneasy.
"She's gonna need some rest, and I don't want any of you peasants interrupting her recovery after she gets fully healed," the receptionist sighed.
"So are you gonna hand her over or not?"
Feeling defeated, Lance handed Kaiden over softly. Her silver hair swayed softly as her body moved, making her seem even more enthralling. The receptionist sped of, wasting no time as she headed deeper into the medic. The group stood in silence, waiting for any news of sorts. After a while of waiting, they all thought that it would be best if they left and came back later.
They all dispersed, Erik left the twins, heading towards his own room that he had booked not long after he got to the dimension. He entered room, crashed on his bed, and stared at the ceiling, alone in his thoughts. His moments of solitude was killed when he heard a knock on his door.
"Fuck!"
Opening the door, the sight before him made his pulse rise.
Xin was at the entrance. But that wasn't the only captivating thing. She was now clad in a short revealing dress that seemed to expose a large fraction of her boobs, about a few centimeters from revealing the outline of her nipples. She clear skin on her legs could be seen, and her looks only seemed to hex Erik.
He could feel a bit of hardness in his pants as he stared at Xin's enormous boobs. The thought about the well being of Kaiden quickly died, as he was only thinking about one thing — tearing Xin's dress and sucking the hell out of her nipples. Xin advanced closed to Erik as she stared at his lips.
"Can I come in?"
