When the little girl finished drying Elthorin's long, silky blond hair, she simply sat there, staring into his eyes, waiting for some order for her.
-""What's going on?"
Elthorin asked, feeling uncomfortable with the little girl's insistent gaze.
-"..."
The little girl didn't speak; she just continued to stare at Elthorin. Elthorin just ran his fingers over his temple, repeated deeply, looked at the ceiling, and thought, "Relax... She's just a kid.". Then I look at her again, seriously thinking about what to do... I took a wooden comb and handed it to her.
-""Comb my hair."
She just looked at the simple comb he gave her and all the hair she had to comb, it was enough to have dried it first, but now comb it, but she didn't say anything.
-"(´ー`)"
She began to gently comb through her hair, first starting at the ends, dividing it into sections, then slowly moving up, trying not to pull or damage it.
While that was happening, in the castle kitchen, the elven cooks were murmuring, since one of them had seen King Elthorin walk to the shower with the little girl.
-"Maybe now your majesty even wants to eat..."
One of them murmured, but they did not dare to go to his bedroom, since he was always hostile to everyone, so they left it to chance, with a coin, In the end, luck fell on the one who had seen the King, she had to go ask the King if he wanted to eat.
The maid approached the bedroom fearfully. The guards were there, but none of them expressed anything on their faces. She gathered her courage and knocked softly on the door.
-"You may come in."
Elthorin said in a strangely calm, yet raspy voice. When the servant entered, the first thing she saw was the King sitting on the floor, defeated, not knowing what else to do, Since the little girl had made a long braid with her hair, and decorated it with some white flowers, the little girl was very proud of what she had done, but the king suffered inside.
Then he looked up and changed his expression again, to a colder but serene one, looking at the maid.
-"What's going on?"
Elthorin asked the maid, but the maid tried to hold back her laughter, but still tried to speak.
-"Y-your majesty... Would you like some lunch?"
Elthorin was about to say no, but his mouth fell open and, as soon as he spoke, he remembered that the girl had gone days without eating, ever since she had arrived.
-"Y-yes, I'll eat, and so will she."
The servant nodded and left the king's bedroom. Once she left, she ran to the others to tell them that the king had decided to eat, and not alone, but with the girl.
After half an hour, King Elthorin arrived at the dining room, and behind him was the little girl, holding the braid by the end, she didn't want him to get her freshly washed hair dirty.
-"let it go"
Elthorin ordered, but she shook her head, everyone in the dining room was surprised, it was the first time someone had contradicted her.
-"I'm not asking, I'm ordering you, let it go."
The girl refused again, and threatened him with her eyes, but she wasn't scary, but rather funny, everyone in the dining room was holding back their laughter.
-"Whatever you want"
Everyone was shocked when they noticed that the girl had practically won the argument with the King. He simply sat down, and the girl on his lap, Elthorin was annoyed when she invaded his personal space, but he thought "she's just a child, a child, a child," and let it go.
While they were eating, Elthorin noticed that she was eating a lot without stopping, she didn't refuse any food, she even ate his, he didn't want to eat, he had no desire to live, He was just putting up with the little girl because of his brother.
-"Your Majesty... What is the girl's name?"
One of the servants asked.
-"I don't know and she doesn't speak"
I answered the servant curtly, then another servant plucked up her courage and said:
-"Maybe she can write it"
The maid suggested, Elthorin looked at the little girl and asked:
-"Do you know what I wrote?
The little girl nodded gently as she ate non-stop.
-"Bring a pencil and a sheet of paper so she can write."
He ordered the nearest servant. They handed him the sheet.
-"Okay, write"
Then the girl, with her cheeks full of food, looked at the paper and pencil, moved the plates away from the table, and placed the paper completely straight.
-"Where are you from? What is your name, age, who are you?"
He asked the little girl several questions, she took a while to process the information and then began to write on the sheet of paper.
"Mr. Annarrgeal told me that I could only tell him my name."
He wrote on the paper, at these written words, Elthorin frowned in annoyance, "Annarrgeal son of..." Elthorin thought, Then he took a deep breath and spoke angrily.
-"Okay, tell me your name then."
She started writing "Ara.." and showed him the paper.
-"Ara? What kind of name is that?"
The girl ignored him and continued eating. Elthorin, annoyed but defeated again, just leaned back in his chair. Everyone in the dining room realized: the King had lost to a little girl.
