As they sat down at the restaurant, Pel Chan couldn't help but glance at Su Han with admiration. "You're really something, Su Han. I've never seen anyone take down those guys so easily."
Su Han smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's just a matter of skill and strategy."
Pel Chan's face turned serious, and he leaned in. "Su Han, I know I'm not exactly in a position to ask for favors cause you won't be around, but... can you teach me some martial arts?"
Su Han raised an eyebrow, surprised by the request. "Why? You're already rich and influential. What do you need martial arts for?"
Pel Chan's eyes gleamed with determination. "I want to be able to protect myself and the people I care about. I don't want to be a liability." He was surprised to see how Su Han was good at beaten others. He wanted to learn too
Su Han studied him for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, I'll teach you. But you have to promise me one thing: you have to listen to me and follow my instructions exactly."
Pel Chan nodded eagerly, a grin spreading across his face. "I promise, I promise! Thank you, Su Han!"
As they ordered their food and waited for it to arrive, Pel Chan bombarded Su Han with questions about martial arts and fighting techniques.
When the food arrived, they dug in, savoring the delicious flavors and textures.
They ate quickly but Pel Chan didn't want to go home yet, so he said they should go the clubhouse. Su Han agreed too.
At the airport, Fang Rou waited for Gu Jianyu, his expression neutral. Gu Jianyu spotted him and grinned, striding over.
Gu Jianyu was the only female in their clique. She was born into wealth and was the only daughter of Gu Chenxu, the owner of Gu Corporation which was the third biggest in their country.
"Rou! Long time no see," she said, dropping her luggage and throwing her arms around him.
Fang Rou chuckled, hugging her back. "Welcome back, Jianyu. How was your trip?"
Gu Jianyu pulled back, her eyes sparkling. "It was fine. Just the usual boredom on the plane. I'm ready to party now."
Fang Rou raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you stressed out from the journey back"
Gu Jianyu pouted. "Oh, come on. It'll be fun, I promise. And I'm sure the others would love to see me."
As they headed to the clubhouse, Gu Jianyu's chatter filled the car saying tales of what happened outside country. Fang Rou listened with a mixture of amusement and affection.
When they arrived at the clubhouse, Gu Jianyu was in high spirits, joking with the others and making everyone laugh. Fang Rou watched her with a smile.
No one knew but he had a crush on Gu Jianyu since they were young. He knew she had someone else in his heart but that didn't stop his feelings for her.
As they sat down at a table, Gu Jianyu turned to Fang Rou. "Hey, Rou, invite Yan Xin over. It's been ages since we've all hung out together."
Fang Rou raised an eyebrow. "You sure you want to do that?" He felt jealous because she always chose Yan Xin over him everytime.
Gu Jianyu's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Why not? It'll be fun. Besides, I've been wanting to see him again."
Fang Rou's expression remained neutral, but he knew Gu Jianyu well enough to recognize the glint in her eye. He pulled out his phone and sent Yan Xin a text, wondering what Gu Jianyu was up to this time.
At the Yan Conglomerate, Yan Xin sat in his office, his eyes scanning the message on his phone. Fang Rou's text was brief, as always, just a simple request to meet at the clubhouse.
Yan Xin handed over his tasks to his personal assistant, Shen Yu, and grabbed his keys.
"I'll be back later. Handle any urgent matters that come up," Yan Xin instructed, already heading out the door.
Shen Yu nodded, his eyes never leaving the papers in front of him. "Will do, Boss."
Yan Xin drove to the clubhouse, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of going to the countryside. When he arrived, he spotted Fang Rou and Gu Jianyu waiting by the entrance.
Gu Jianyu was fidgeting, her eyes scanning the surroundings anxiously. Yan Xin's eyes lingered on her for a moment, noticing how nice she looked today.
As he stepped out of the car, Gu Jianyu's eyes locked onto him, and a bright smile spread across her face. Fang Rou chuckled and nudged her forward. "There he is," he said, his voice laced with amusement.
Gu Jianyu hurried over to Yan Xin, throwing her arms around him in a warm hug. "Xin'er, you're finally here!" she exclaimed, her voice muffled against his chest calling him intimately.
Yan Xin laughed "Hey, Jianyu"He said taking a step back to separate them.
Every of them in the friend group knew Yan Xin had a disorder and couldn't get close towards people.
Gu Jianyu face fell as she became sad. It was always like this. Anytime she gets close towards him, he pushes her away
Fang Rou grinned, shaking his head. "Just in time, Yan Xin. We were about to send out a search party."
As they walked in, Pel Mei, the owner of the clubhouse and the fourth friend in the clique exchanged pleasantries with Yan Xin as they all worked in to the inner room.
Gu Jianyu stuck close to Yan Xin's side, her eyes shining with excitement.
