Luna wore her slippers as she got up from her bed. Her eyes were swollen as if something happened last night.
She vomited at the sink. Her body weakened. "I think I can survive until I don't give up."
After three days, she had a home service appointment.
"You need to eat nutritious food. Enjoy doing things that make you satisfied." Her doctor gave her list of foods to avoid during pregnancy. "Make sure you didn't eat or drink any of these."
"Yes, Doctor Guevara."
"I'll be leaving. I need to visit your mother."
Her old memories flood her mind. She was zoning out again.
"Luna!" Aelius called her. She was done washing her face.
He was stunned by her beauty. Her face was poreless when spotted by sunlight.
"Why, Aelius?"
"Uh... When are you going to pay for the field trip?"
She opened her bank account using her phone. "Here's $1500. Keep the change."
He kept on following her as usual. Not as her suitor but as a childhood friend. "You don't look good today."
"Yes, I'm not."
" Wait here. I'll give you something." He rushed to a nearby cafeteria and bought two ice cream.
"Here."
She got hers and started licking it. "You know me well."
"What are friends are for? We did a lot of memories for a long time."
Kean walked in front of them and suddenly, her lips made a curve. Aelius noticed her and that way, he knows she deserved someone better than him. His eyes made a blank stare and dared not to follow her.
She rushed to the sink where Kean went. She pretended to wash her hands because yhe ice cream was spilled. "It's sticky."
He noticed her but ignored her. He was pissed on her as she kept on following him everyday.
"Can I have some of your liquid soap?" She grabbed it but to her surprise, he went grumpy.
"Stop touching it!"
Aelius heard him shouting. He went there quickly. "What happened?"
"Stay away from me, you stupid!" He grabbed his things away from them.
Luna's eyes went into tears. "I didn't mean to. I feel wronged."
Aelius gave her a hug. "Stop crying." He believed that she doesn't deserve to be treated that way. He decided to talk to him.
"Nyx, how are you?" Liam brushed her hair and tucked it behind her ear.
"I'm fine. I'm moody this past few weeks."
"I understand. You're pregnant."
The broadcaster was telling news about the CEO who wants to find his wife immediately. "Kean Hesper Vanderbilt, the CEO of The Grand Mansion Hotel is announcing that he wants to find where his wife is. To whoever knows where she is, please contact them on their e-mail address down below."
Her few photos were revealed for the first time. She felt important that time but she realized it was his tactic to win her and get her back again.
"That man is ambitious. His trick will never fool us again."
"How did you know he's my husband?"
"Of course, Aelius told me. He was watching around you all the time. He's my secretary for three years."
She couldn't believe him. Aelius was one of the richest guys in their city. How could he possibly turn down his wealth to serve under my brother's wings?
"I didn't know Aelius is worming with you. How does he ended that way?"
"He worked under my supervision because it's granted by his family. He wants to learn more and he wants to look after you."
All she thought about him was being her childhood friend. She was wrong. He was faithful to her.
"Where is he now?"
"He came back to his family reunion. There are important things to follow. His father died a week ago."
