Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - New Beginning

A week ago had passed. Luna was recovering at their home. She was simply living with great grand mansion from their ancestors. Although, they were living at the countryside, she wore simple clothes and eat something delicious together with people around her.

She was a spoiled brat teenager back then. When she met Kean Hesper, her instinct was to be his wife after college. She made efforts to win his heart. She thought she won. However, she did her best to be at his side.

She crumpled the quilt. Her blank stare made her eyes looked painful. Her lips were dry. She couldn't stand this.

"It has been a week since I left him. Maybe he comes back to his senses now that he's at fault."

She turned her look to the window and zoning out again.

Three years ago...

She was eighteen years old when she transfered to St. Thomas School, Inc. and that was where Kean and her met. She was lonely that time, but her mood became colorful when she laid her eyes at him for the first time.

"Hi, I'm Luna Nyx. Nice to meet you." She sat down beside him. She tried getting his attention but he never did.

She followed him secretly even the whole class was busy doing things to be done.

One time, she was hit by a soccer ball while walking. She felt dizzy and passed out.

"Help her!"

Aelius, the president of class, went to help her. He carried her at his back.

"Luna, be careful next time. I'll not be around most of the times."

"I know. It was an accident. There's nothing to worry about."

He stood up and went to the window. "You can be strong enough soon. You're getting older, weakling."

She laughed a little. "Things here are not getting worst than my childhood school."

"When are you going back there?"

"I'm not going back."

"Good. Let's practice your self-defense method."

Aelius was her knight in shining armor. His methods are much easier but effective. He was the top scorer in the class and his opponent was Kean, the second top scorer in the class.

"Nyx, how are you?" Liam made her breakfast today. An egg soup was served, then he allowed her to see the creative designs of rice cakes.

"I'm fine. Thank you."

"I thought you're not fine." Denise was carrying a basket of fruits. "I told you before. I don't like that guy."

"No more arguments, please! Denise!" Liam faced her younger sister. "Let her reflect on her own."

"Let's see how long she could endure it. Besides, I will have my nephew or maybe niece." She was sarcastic and yet, trying not to show she cared for Luna. "I don't like his bloodline."

"Stop it, Denise! She needs us. Why can't you shut up your mouth?"

"Fine. I'll shut up." She walked out of the room and sighed. "This is worst. She's stupid!"

"Let her become like that. It's my fault. I let you all down." Luna was stopping her tears, but she couldn't.

"You don't deserve someone like him."

"I know."

"Still, you insisted being with that guy!"

"I know you have the right to be angry. I understand everything." She was blaming herself until now.

"Tell me what you want to do. I'll do it for you." He was willing to do things in the right place.

"I want to fulfill my dreams."

"It's not too late for you."

"Thank you, Brother Liam."

"I'll make some arrangements to the University." He called someone to do it for them. After an hour, he received the message through an e-mail.

"This is your time to shine." He kissed her forehead before leaving her there.
