Chapter 4 - 1st path, Goddess Of Origin (part 2)

Pov: "Moon Pathway"

By the pale moonlight, in a nameless village, one could always find a little girl named Star walking barefoot through the dry fields of this incredibly remote town.

Star was known in town for her gaze, a mix of innocence, nostalgia, and deep sadness, as if she had lived too many lives in one, even though no one knew about her, her name, or her past.

Every night, while everyone was asleep, she would climb the highest hill where her mother's grave was located, sitting under the full moon in complete solitude, because no one knew how to get there.

Star used to tell herself that the moon was the only one who understood her, the only one who knew how to listen to her silence, and the only one who still remembered who she was in this town full of ghosts and hypocrites.

Star spoke little, since no one wanted to listen to her, but when she did, she told stories about a past that no one remembered, or cared to remember.

She said that when she was a little, her mother would sing her improvised songs under the same moon while telling her how they were its guardians, and that whenever they needed her, they could come to her.

However, her mother had committed suicide in front of her because she couldn't stand her life any longer, since she was actually the town's whore.

Something that Star found out in the worst possible way, since her mother, tired of seeing her so happy and smiling while she had to bear the burden of raising her on her own, finally exploded and told her daughter the truth.

It turns out that in the past, long before Star could remember, her father had sent her mother and her to that town under the promise that he had everything ready for them to live well and be a happy family.

But upon arriving at the town, all she found was the harsh reality: her husband, the man who promised her the stars, had cheated on her.

And worse, she could no longer escape that town, since she had left everything behind under the promises of that man

So, finding no other option, she turned to prostitution to survive, while lying to her daughter, making her believe that her father was just busy hunting stars so he could build a bridge to reach the moon.

A lie she could no longer maintain, since the mother managed to find another man, a man who, despite treating the girl with disgust and hatred, promised her that he would get her out of there and they could soon be happy together.

And as was evident, that was also false, since the man in question escaped on his own, leaving behind a mother who, unable to bear it any longer, tormented the girl with the truth, and then took her own life in front of her.

This, despite breaking the girl inside to the core, did nothing to help the girl, since now that she no longer had a mother, there was no one to take care of her, and as such, no one to prevent her from losing the last thing she had left.

Her home, once full of hope, who was now full of Lies

She was taken from her, under the lie that "her mother didn't pay for the house on time," which led to her, along with her mother's corpse, being thrown out into the street. Since the mother was the town's prostitute, no one gave her a proper burial.

Thus forcing the girl to find a place on her own, and finding the aforementioned hill, she decided to bury her there.

Officially, Star was alone in the world, but she still had the hope for that town would help her, or so she believed in her young innocence, since, contrary to her hopes, the entire town decided to simply pretend she didn't exist.

And so it went until they genuinely forgot that she was ever someone's daughter, believing instead that she was someone who was abandoned there. And even under that belief, their attitude toward her never changed.

Now, we have this young Star, forced to barely survive as best she could, abandoned by everyone in the only place she even knew, she understood based on her own experience that she was nothing more that a nuisance, a trash, a nobody

treatment born out of pure cruelty, and here, despite pleading with the Moon more than once for rescue, it never responded, ignoring her pleas for help.

However, there was something the Moon did for her that others didn't: being there for her, listening to her, accompanying her, something she appreciated more than anything in the world, since it made her feel not so alone.

Time passed, and so the girl grew up, ignored by those she considered her "equals", lacking anything that could even be considered human companionship, having only a moon

"She knows everything that has been lost, she holds what the world doesn't want to remember, she follow the one's who are alone" were the things that she said

Star, lost in the hatred, contempt, ignorance, and people's misunderstanding, became more and more attached to the Moon, to the point that one winter day, hungry from not eating for three days straight, she decided to follow in her mother's footsteps.

And on the top of that hill, on the clearest winter night she had ever seen, she took her own life in silence. No one cried for her, no one buried her, no one asked for her, no one remembered her. Except that bright and lonely moon.

Shortly after her death, she regained consciousness in a deep blackness, accompanied only by that which always watched over her, even in her saddest moments: the Moon.

"Poor little thing, abandoned, rejected, forgotten."

Suddenly, a voice came from nowhere, sounding everywhere, sounding sad beyond belief.

"It's ironic that the one who bringed you here was someone who only records the world, but never interferes."

The voice said as Star felt a warm and welcoming hug envelop her.

"Don't worry, little one, soon you will be reunited with your eternal companion."

The voice said as it released Star's embrace, causing alien knowledge to enter her mind shortly afterward, but still allowing her to know what to do from now on.

"Go, my little one, grow big and strong in this world, and then you will be able to join your companion at the end of the "Moon Pathway" "

Pov: protagonist

"What are you opinion about how I handled it?"

Asked I with a touch of pride, after all, making such sad story's wasn't easy, I could even said they are my master piece

★ "Meh, I've seen books more sad that this, it's just so-so"

And there it go my pride

"... Forget it, I'm better making plans and surviving than writing story's"

I could only said, 'cause let's be honest, not everyone could be a genius writer and get a "Hachiko" with everything history

★ "Even I have to admit it"

"Well, let's continue, what did I have to do now?, I already made the avatar's of both Pathways"

★ "Now choose where did you want them for spawn"

"It could be in the Middle of the milky way Galaxy?"

★ "If you wanted them for being killed instantly, yeah, you could, you just need to think about the place"

Perfect, absolutely perfect, so much perfect that a grin appeared in my face, one so terrifying (at least for a child of 2 year's) that even Mephisto would be scared

So after sending "Mother" to Africa, and "Moon" to Europe, I said full of arrogance

"¡Now WE are really speaking!, I know what will be the next Pathway that I will bring out

¡System!, ¡bring me the pathway of "Demon Of Knowledge" And "Calamity Of Destruction"!"

I said still with the maniatic laught in the face, after all, what better Pathway for this sci-fi universe that the one in charge of the technology?

★ "You couldn't"

Was the answer I get for the system, who made my face froze completely, I couldn't think about anything for at least 3 minutes, until I finally managed to ask

"... Why?!, I trough you said that I could bring whatever I wanted!, ain't suppose to be my work conquer this universe?"

★ "First of all, you just recently merged the "Goddess Of Origin" pathway to this universe, so if you bring another one so close in time Eternity, Infinity, Death, Oblivion and Galactus would feel it

Second, this universe it's still connected to the multiverse made by "The one above all", so if he receive the info that this universe was being invaded he will destroy you"

"....."

I couldn't said anything about it, except that it was my fault for forgetting about those entities, if not for the system reminder, I think that not even stardust would be left behind about me

"Then how much time it will take to bring here another Pathway?"

★ Two years, once that happened you could bring here whatever pathway you want"

And just like that, now I have two more years for planificaron, and making sure that everything goes according to my plan

"....Y'know what?, I'm mad enough to kill someone"

★ "Good luck with that, little boy"

"Stupid"
