Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Parents Day

"Come on baby, did you really have to crash the bus? What did I say about endangering others?" The mother asked her electric child.

"Do my best not to, I'm sorry." He muttered. "We were in a hurry, alright. We were in a rush and we didn't know if something bad was happening or not."

"And you didn't think to talk to a teacher?" The boy sulked his head. "Look, I get you rushed in, but you need to think things through, alright?" She ruffled his head a little. "At least you kept a cool enough head through most of it. We would've all been toast if you'd fired your quirk off prematurely."

"Couldn't have been worse than my kid." They turned as the Mitsuki woman walked up to them. "My brat has a bit of a temper, but so far he's been really mellow."

"That was mellow?" She lobbed her child upside the head.

"If he was truly angry, he would've blown up half his classmates for getting in his way." Mitsuki sighed. "Really, he's a lot more chill than he was about a year ago. If he didn't have some form of self control, the first thing he would've done was fly over the pit and blow that actor into the next prefecture."

"Glad to hear he's nicer now than before. UA does wonders for a child." She reached out her hand. "I'm Ashley Kaminari."

"An American first name?"

"Family on both sides." She shrugged. "Help works for me both ways."

"Mitsuki Bakugo." The lady returned the gesture. "Weird seeing my kid hang out with an actual group instead of lackeys. Any other time, he would've even bothered with nicknames."

"Oh good, nice to see 'Raccoon Eyes' is a term of endearment." Another female voice came in, and both turned to see…something straight out of a horror movie…no sarcasm about that either, it looked EXACTLY like a predator costume. "Ryoshi Ashido, i'd meet you eye to eye, but I take this thing off and the fumes will liquify everyone." The chuckle wasn't reassuring.

"Nice to see the parents of the group our son likes so much are just as manly as he describes." She turned to two women, a biker with black hair and shark teeth and a small girl with glasses and a gentle demeanor. "That's the Crimson Spirit!"

"I'm not sure if manly can be applied to everyone here, well, except me." The only male guardian of the 'Bakusquad' came from behind them. He was a giant blue hedgehog creature with glasses and a brown scarf.

"You all see this right?" She asked, getting nods.

"Hey guys, this is my uncle Speedy." The tape boy waved. "My parents were busy on an overseas trip for the month, so he's been looking after me."

"Yep, you're definitely seeing this." Mitsuki muttered back. "I can't believe my little brat has got so many friends."

"They're not my friends, you old hag!" The boy in question mouthed off, only to be grabbed by the red headed boy.

"The best of friends. Bakusquad for life!"

"We're not called that!"

"Bakusquad!" The Ashido girl joined in on the huddle.

"It's not going to catch on no matter how much you say it!"

"Wait, is it Bakusquad or Bakasquad?" Suzuki asked with genuine confusion.

"Bakusquad damn it-STOP DOING THAT DODGER!"

"Your class seems fun." She patted her son on the head. "Make sure to learn a lot and have plenty of fun."

"We're going to be heroes! There's no time for fun!" Bakugo shouted indignantly.

"Really, because UA's been pretty fun so far, for me at least." Suzuki added.

"I will murder you Dodger!"

"Calm down you little brat!" It was a colorful classroom to say the least.

==

"The brightness of this classroom is quite the sight to take in."

"Yes, the bright lights of my classmates have made my shadow extend beyond mortal comprehension." His offspring of darkness observed. His time spent in the abyss has taught him much and carried him far on this chosen path of life. "It's a road that can't be treated lightly."

"Yes, it must be walked with respect, wisdom, the ability to fuck shit up. " He pressed the button on his wrist, activating the shock collar he placed on himself. If there was one thing he was genuinely grateful for in life, is that the darkness of his child manifested physically, instead of mentally like himself. "You've made another contract with the netherworld again, haven't you?"

"Yes, and unfortunately, the results have been…less than desirable." His boy shivered. "It's exactly like Mother Valac, except you take away the child like innocence and replace it with ego and samba music."

"The nightmare that comes with walking the dark road and gives you jack shit when you should be going all in. " Another shock. Normally he didn't need to do it too much, he had a home job after all. But he refused to lose himself in front of all these people.

Like the nice looking rock headed couple approaching him. "Your son has been a real treat according to our Koji. The boy gets really nervous around new people and the quiet calmness helps." The rock-like woman spoke with a bit of timidity.

"The pleasure is all mine. We both enjoy the sounds of silence whenever the occasion permits us." Tokayami bowed. "And Mezo has been quite amicable to us as well."

"That's good to hear. We were worried about the judgment he might face, but everyone here has been quite approachable." A floating ball of eyes mentally spoke out loud, right next to the pile of tentacles. Such a beautiful union.

"Of course, it would be hypocritical to argue appearances." The man spoke. "It's always right to be fair and equal as we rip out their spleens. " He shocked himself again, smoke starting to form. "I'm sorry, my quirk acts up whenever I'm in public."

"No need to apologize. Everyone handles their powers differently." The rocky woman bowed her head. Yes, his son's current company were swell companions. They would serve him quite well in the futur..

"Father, we must flee! Flee!" Tokoyami freaked out, and tried to nudge him out the door. "Before it's too late…!"

"Salutations, class and family of 1-A! It's a pleasure to dazzle you all for such a glorious occasion!" The Aoyama family were dressed up in matching white tuxes and canes covered in glitter that blinded all those who stared too long

"Revelry in the dark." He muttered along with his son. The first group of parents he knew he wouldn't get along with. If the rate was one out of three, this class was perfect for his child.

"So, teaching my little brother Eh? Must drive you crazy." She flirted with the hot looking teacher. Minoru never talked about his school life unless it was about his girl classmates or any teachers he found sexy. So seeing this pack of meat the moment she entered the school was a real upside to her day.

"Yes, because he acts like a horn dog and I think sex is illogical for my job." Wow, mood killer much, someone needed to get him to loosen up.

"Maybe I can get some glass and show you the logic you're missing." She leaned down, a bit of cleavage exposed. "You can't say you've never had a single thought about it before~"

"Your sister really likes Aizawa-sensei, doesn't she?" The kid with the cowlick observed from a distance.

"She likes anyone her age." Her pint sized brother scowled.

"Now that's not true at all." She defended. "I can go old or young."

"Staying away." The glasses kid walked away. Hard to get type, huh? Probably had plenty of experience given his quick assessment.

"So it's not just you that's the problem? Your whole family's a pack of pervs?" The round cheeked girl got closer to the cowlick kid, putting her arms in the way defensively. Super clingy, nice touch.

"Eh, each one's a different story. Dad's kinda sexist and Mom is a bit of a masochist."

"So how much do I need to shank her to keep her away from Iruma-kun?" Asked the invisible girl. Two girls, impressive.

"None, just toss her a better man."

"Hey, in my eyes, no man is better than another." She defended herself. "Most men have some attractive qualities about them that I can't help but hold on to." And maybe strap to a bed as she rides them out.

"Why not talk with Sato's dad then, he owns a factory and seems single." Oh, now there was a catch.

"What about your family Toru?"

"Oh, they're hanging out by the window, they're enjoying the breeze." She saw an open window, but they didn't see anything.

"They seem really nice!" And it looked like the cowlick kid was playing along with the bit. A little bit of training, and he'd be great with foreplay.

"So Ochako, is this the kid you said-"

"And we're leaving dad. Look, some building foundation!" The girl grabbed her father and ran, super shy type then. She was going to lose badly. She just left her boy in the hands of her rival.

"Maybe you'd be into some foreplay." She asked the blond man standing next to the cowlick kid

"Pardon me, Young Suzuki. There's something I must take care of." The zombie man headed towards the nearest window and jumped out of it.

"You see that's the normal reaction to my sister, but even then i'm not surprised cause you're involved." Mineta deadpanned at the cowlick kid. Rude.

"No, that's how Trash-zombie-sensei usually leaves whenever somebody else is around." That got a laugh out of her. She did love a man with a good sense of humor.

==

Fuyumi finished speaking with Mr Sato, the man seemed nice, if a bit screw loose. Now who to talk to next … maybe the Iida guy in the chair. He seemed friendly enough. "Tensei, are you certain you should be moving about? You were released from the hospital not too long ago. Are you certain there's nothing we should be concerned about at the immediate moment?"

"Relax, Tenya, I'm fine. All I've done today is sit down, just like yesterday and the day before. I couldn't be more comfortable if I tried." The man waved off with a smile. "Your friends seem nice Tenya, finally gonna break you out of your shell?" He asked. "Pull the stick out of ya?"

"Why do people insist there's something wrong with my posterior regions?" The younger brother responded. She stifled a laugh. They seemed to get along pretty well. Stiffness aside, the younger Iida seemed pretty lively.

She thought back to Shoto, her own little brother. She's only seen remnants of a smile around the house when he made the time, and even then, it was only whenever he thought about school. She was glad that he was opening up somewhere, but she wished that extended to home as well. That with his amnesia made her dream of a happy family dinner seem more and more distant.

"Oh Tensei, this is Fuyumi, she's Shoto's sister." The blue cowlick kid Suzuki led them over. "Hey there, nice to see you again." Her brother just groaned and placed his head into his hands. He was embarrassed, how adorable.

"Oh, Suzuki right?" She bowed her head slightly. "Shoto's mentioned you quite a lot. He's been pretty happy since the Sports festival ended."

"Thanks. He was a bit scary at first, especially when he dragged me into a dark corner and placed a hand next to my head, but I'm glad we became friends!" The friends all turned to the boy in question with mixed expressions.

"... Shoto, if you had a crush you could have come to me." She patted the boy on the head. Who knew he got so happy because he found love?

"So Todoroki is on the list." The invisible girl's sentence sent a shiver down her spine.

"What list?" Suzuki titled his head like a little puppy, so cute!

"Nothing you need to worry about, Iruma-kun, nothing at all."

"It wasn't a crush." Shoto argued, a faint fluster on his face. "I was just confirming if he was All Might's secret love child … which so far is still a maybe."

"He's not. Trash Zombie-sensei just came by the beach when I was scrapping parts and brought Bunny-sensei who asked to place all his hopes and faith in me."

"Believe it or not, it's a lot more fluffy than it sounds." The round cheeks girl patted her father on the back. "He's not that good at putting his words together."

"I see.." The man cupped his chin before snapping his fingers. "Wait, I think I remember you. You're that kid that worked for me and my wife's construction team that one year!" WHO HIRED A CHILD FOR CONSTRUCTION!?

"You'll have to be more specific sir, I've done a lot of them since I was six." Since what ? "It's because of those jobs that I've learned how to keep basic appliances together so I don't die from heatstroke." More and more, she felt like taking this kid home for his own safety.

"Um, it was the one with the mall, rolling steel, an attack of bunnies of all things." Why bunnies?

"Oh yeah! You paid me extra because I worked fast. Thank you sir, it really helped my food budget that year." Seriously, one one zero, anyone?

"No problem kid! A hard worker like you is perfect to date my darling little girl."

"Dad! It's not like that at all, honestly!" The girl covered her now red face and started floating in the air. She would admire the cute sight, but the boy's home life was taking up the majority of her thoughts.

"Ah, Suzuki, just wondering…how long have you worked at the hospital? Our mother seemed pretty familiar with you." Fuyumi asked him.

"A couple years now, the pay isn't good but the patients are really nice and thank me a lot. A few of the old ladies even have candy they said was back from their banking days." They really needed to double check that hospital. "I mainly just give her food and flowers from her husband."

"E..Dad still gives her flowers?" She vaguely remembered her father giving her a banquet of them from time to time, but even if she looked past everything the man did throughout his life, she never expected the stern and closed off Endeavor to do something so compassionate for years.

"Yeah, same type every week. He must really care for family." Her brother was getting twitchy, likely about to explode with fire, ice, or just say something he regrets. Time for a new subject.

"So what about your parents, haven't seen any other pairs of floating clothes." She asked the girl.

"They're right next to you." Hagakure's gloved hand pointed next to her. "Dad's quirk makes anything he touches invisible, and Mom's makes her go virtually unnoticed by the naked eye." She then, presumably, covered her head with her arms. "Don't be like that in front of Iruma-kun, guys!"

"She is very lovely, it's nice to meet the family of one of my super friends." The boy smiled at the air.

"…." Nothing responded.

"Oh she's the best! The nicest person I know! She gives great hugs!"

"Oh Iruma-kun, you flatterer!" The invisigirl waved off. "Yes mom, I have a spot planned out, but now's not the time to ask him!"

"You have a very chaotic classroom." She told her brother.

"I know." Shoto gave that faint smile she saw some times at home … or she guessed he saw this as his home.

==

"And in conclusion, my old hag isn't a complete hag, just a nagger." Toshinori saw the boy crumble his paper and toss it into the trash can.

"That's gotta be the nicest he's been in such a long time …" The mother was in tears. "The brat." That was probably the most eloquent either Bakugo was going to be at any moment in their lives. Honestly, he cursed fifty percent less than he expected the explosive boy to, so there was some progress made.

"Next up, Iruma Suzuki." The successor got out of his seat, carrying a large stack of papers. Even larger than the forty pages of Young Iida, that alone was concerning. "I'm surprised there was a person you made that many pages for." Aizawa spoke honestly.

"Person? Oh, I didn't make this all for one person." His successor spoke honestly. "You said these letters were to people we appreciate, so I made one for everybody." He took the first one off. "First off, to Bunny-sensei." Oh boy. "You believed in me and told me I could be a hero even when I didn't. Thanks to you and your efforts all of this was possible and I found myself happier than I ever was. You'll always have my support and appreciation."

The man wished he could've ducked out of the room to weep in happiness, but he had to settle for smiling lightly and containing that liquid happiness inside. Good thing Suzuki had more letters, because he still had the class's attention. "To Ochako. You saved me from falling to my death, and wanted to be my first friend. Thank you for being there for me, I promise to be there for you."

The girl floated herself to the ceiling, being red in the face. "You know, it's not everyday a boy has a father's approval, you know? Better take advantage of it before it's too late." Uraraka's father teased.

"To Toru. You've always cheered me on from the moment we met, and helped me whenever I really needed it.You being in danger also helped me have rescuse points for the exams. You've helped me be a hero almost as much as Bunny-sensei. Thank you. I hope I can help you just as much someday."

"You will Iruma-kun~! You will~." Toshi for a second thought he could see hearts where her eyes should've been.

"To Iida. You keep me on track and help me understand something by calmly explaining it to me in detail. I've learned much thanks to you and am on the right track to catching up despite my naivety. I hope to learn more."

"I will do my best, Suzuki!" The boy shouted with a chopping motion.

"To Minoru, you tell me things and show me things I never knew about. Like those magazines of women posing. One day I hope to show you something new too." The girls all glared at the boy, along with a few parents.

"It wasn't porn, I swear my life on it!"

"Is it still something you would've jerked off too?" Mineta's sister rolled her eyes.

"That's beside the point!"

"To Aizawa-sensei." The man already prepared his sleeping bag, almost rushing to slip into it. "You've pushed me to do my very best, something no teacher has ever wanted to do for me before. I think it's cool how you're able to sleep almost anywhere without a problem and I hope to be just as cool as you. You're one of the best teachers I've ever had."

"End me, end me, end me." For the first time in Toshi's life, he saw the man's face go red. Finally! He had blackmail on another teacher! Now there would be one less person calling him a bunny/zombie.

"To Shoto, you're the cool and silent friend I always wished I had. Our fight at the Sports festival helped me realize the importance of having determination as a hero. I'm glad we were able to help each other."

"That's probably the nicest way to thank someone for breaking their bones." Well when putting it that way, it kinda was.

"To Momo. You're a kind and smart president and I'm glad I get to work with you as your vice rep. It's fun reading First Love Memories with someone for a change, and I hope I can be just as smart and creative as you someday."

"Thank you, thank you…" The girl actually started tearing up a little. Looks like she really needed to hear this.

"To Denki. I like playing games with you and your jokes are super funny. Hanging out with you is a really enjoyable way to unwind, and I hope to be as friendly and casual as you are."

"Um, thanks man." The boy cautiously looked away, shaking in place as he buzzed a bit with a hand on his mouth.

"To Jiro, you're quirk's one of the coolest I've ever seen and you've really helped me out during the USJ. I wish I got to know you more during middle school."

"Me too man. Me too." She looked almost ashamed. That was concerning to notice.

"To Tsuyu, you always look out for me whenever you're around. It's nice to be able to not have to worry about danger for a change. I'll try to look out for you too." The girl merely croaked in response, but if Mr Asui's giggling was any indication, it was probably embarrassment.

"To Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, you always look mysterious in a cool and fun way. I find everything that you say interesting and smart, and I want to sound just as cool as you do all the time."

"Revelry in the dark."

"Thank you Iruma-kun. You're a nice cinnamon roll I promise not to devour when I have the opportunity." They needed to reign that quirk in fast.

"To Ojiro. You're fighting is really awesome and I think you could be a pretty great hero even if you didn't have your tail."

"A very nice sentiment. Thank you Suzuki." The boy took it with far more grace than anyone in this classroom did.

"To Koda, you're the nicest guy I know and you always have something fluffy and cute that I want to hug and pet. You're quirk's pretty amazing, and I've tried to pick up sign-language so I can talk to you more so you're more comfortable around me."

The boy shook in his seat, giving a nervous nod in return.

"To Aoyama, your cape looks super cool. You pull it off far better than I did, and you're super sparkly too. I wanna be in the spotlight just like you!"

"I'm honored to have such a bright and glittering rival like you." Since when were they rivals?

"To Shoji. Your mask is really cool and I wish I could grow just as many mouths as you can."

"I think that's the first time someone's ever said they wanted my quirk."

"To Sato. Your cake and candy are some of the best I've ever tasted. You're a true master chef like Food-sama."

"Wow, compared to Lunch Rush, it's an honor."

"To Ashido. You're super ubeat and flexible. I like your style."

"You pop off man!"

"To Sero, the way you swing through the air is cool and your quirk is so useful. First aid, repair, capture, you're going to be one of the best heroes out there once we graduate."

"Thank YOU bro!"

"To Kirishma, you've shown me the true meaning of manliness. I now have a new level to aspire to everyday thanks to you."

"HE CALLED ME MANLY!"

"To Bakugo." The explosive child tensed in his seat. "You're super aggressive and loud, but you care about everyone around you and you're really strong. I wanna be as good as you eventually."

"Fuck off." The boy didn't put the same amount of bark in it as usual.

"Now for the rest of the letters." His perfectly worthy successor finished. "I can't do them in person here, do you mind giving them to the rest of the staff and students later, Aizawa-sensei?"

"... Sure." The man took the stack of papers.

"Thank you sir!" The class gave snickers under the tears. Parents day, he never expected it to be so fun … then again the secret love child rumors were probably going to propagate … eh, what's the worst that could happen?
