Prop doors are meant to be:
lightweight
breakable on purpose
decorative
safe
Most importantly:
They are NOT meant to withstand Aria Lane.
Unfortunately, Aria Lane didn't know that.
Or maybe she knew and simply didn't care.
Or maybe doors offended her on a spiritual level.
Either way—
Today, she would break another one.
And Mason would lose another year off his life.
The Scene: A Simple Door Opening
The instructions were clear.
Crystal clear.
Carved into the stone tablets of Moses clear.
Mason repeated them in front of the entire cast and crew:
"Aria. Listen to me. Sweetheart. Angel of chaos.
You will open the door…
Gently.
Gently.
G-E-N-T-L-Y."
Aria nodded politely.
"I understand."
Julian, standing behind her, whispered with a small smile:
"She'll try."
Daniel whispered back:
"She won't succeed."
Take One: The Door Dies Instantly
"Action!"
Aria stepped forward.
Reached for the handle.
Paused—
as if preparing for combat.
Rick already flinched behind the camera.
Daniel mouthed, "Don't do it—don't do it—don't do it—"
Aria turned the handle.
Good.
She pulled.
Good.
She pulled slightly more.
Not good.
CRACK.
The entire door—frame, hinges and all—came off in her hand.
The stunt team cheered instinctively.
Mason screamed.
"CUT! CUT!! CUT!! HOW DID YOU RIP THE DOOR OUT OF THE WALL?!?"
Aria blinked.
"…It was loose."
Daniel yelled,
"NO, YOU WERE STRONG!"
Julian coughed into his fist, trying not to laugh.
The Props Department Arrives Like a SWAT Team
Three prop masters stormed in.
Prop Master #1:
"MISS LANE, PLEASE STOP TOUCHING OUR DOORS."
Prop Master #2:
"We JUST built this one last night!"
Prop Master #3, emotionally fragile:
"…What did it ever do to you?"
Aria looked at the door in her hand.
Silent.
Calm.
Then said:
"It was weak."
The props team collectively gasped like she'd insulted their ancestors.
Take Two: The Reinforced Door
Props replaced the broken door with a sturdier version.
A heavier frame.
Metal-reinforced hinges.
Extra screws.
The prop master patted it proudly.
"This one can hold 300 pounds of force."
Daniel whispered,
"She can do more than that."
Julian nodded.
"Much more."
Mason ignored both.
"Okay, Aria. Try again.
Please.
Gently."
She Opens the Door Gently. TOO Gently.
"Action!"
Aria touched the door.
Turned the knob.
And pushed it open…
…with such microscopic force that the door didn't move.
At all.
Julian blinked.
Daniel blinked.
Mason facepalmed.
Rick muttered:
"She's either too strong or too gentle. There is no in-between."
Aria tilted her head.
"…It is stubborn."
Mason sighed.
"It's not stubborn, you barely touched it!"
Take Three: The Door's Final Moments
Aria inhaled.
Exhaled.
Placed her hand on the door.
Daniel whispered to Julian:
"She's calibrating. Oh god."
Julian smiled.
"She's trying."
"THAT'S THE PROBLEM!"
Aria pushed.
Slightly more.
Slightly more—
BAM.
The door didn't just open.
It flew off its hinges.
Shot across the set.
Hit a foam wall.
Bounced.
Spun.
Landed perfectly in the stunt team's crash mat.
Marcus shouted:
"10/10! CLEAN LANDING!"
The entire set cheered.
Mason screamed:
"NO CHEERING!! STOP REWARDING HER!!"
Aria's Reaction
She looked at the fallen door.
"…It opened."
Julian covered his laugh with his hand.
Daniel shrieked,
"YOU LAUNCHED IT INTO A WALL!"
Aria nodded slightly.
"Efficiency."
Mason burst into tears.
Crew Commentary
Makeup artist:
"She's so strong…"
Lighting tech:
"I fear her."
Boom operator:
"I saw that door's soul leave its body."
Props team:
"We're filing a complaint with gravity."
Stunt team:
"She should join us."
Mason shouted at them:
"SHE IS NOT JOINING THE STUNT TEAM!!"
Mason's Final Breakdown
He pointed at Aria, trembling.
"No more doors!
No touching doors!
No standing near doors!
No looking at doors!"
Aria blinked.
"…How do I exit a room?"
Mason froze.
Slumped to the floor.
Daniel sighed.
Julian gently patted Mason's back.
"She tried."
Mason whispered,
"She tries too HARD…"
