‎The Scrutiny of the Elder

‎Sakonji Urokodaki stood watching the youth, Kanami Reire, fight his own relentless assault.

‎(Urokodaki's POV)

‎The boy was an enigma. The stench of demon blood on him was still unnerving, but the way he moved, the pure desperate effort behind every one of his terrifyingly strong strikes, spoke volumes. For three full hours, Kanami endured my Hashira-level barrage. His speed and endurance were unnatural for his age, but his technique was ragged and self-taught, reflecting his tragic backstory.

‎Then came the true shock: Kanami, in a desperate block, executed a perfect Water Breathing, First Form: Water Surface Slice!

‎"Where did he learn that?!" Urokodaki mentally roared, his internal composure shattered. "I never taught him a single form! He can't have learned it just from observing me fight! The sheer genius and dedication needed to copy a Breathing Style from scratch... it must be unimaginable."

‎Urokodaki began to form a hilarious, yet deeply serious, delusion about the impossible physical effort required for Kanami's strength:

‎"This boy must be training more than 7 hours a day! He must have practiced his swings until his muscles tore themselves to shreds, forced his bones to mend and re-mend thousands of times, and pushed his human body past all breaking points to achieve that raw power! That absurd ability to copy and endure, it must have come from a place of unimaginable, talent, self-inflicted cruelty and soul-crushing effort! He must be the most dedicated, borderline insane genius swordsman alive to have built that body without a Master!"

‎The final desperation move by Kanami, the non-lethal Devouring Gale, momentarily staggered Urokodaki. It was a terrifying, volatile power, but Urokodaki's Hashira intuition finally cleared. Kanami was in full control. The danger wasn't to them; the danger was to himself.

‎"He is not a threat to the boy or the demon sister," Urokodaki concluded. "He is just a brutally strong, over-dedicated, perhaps slightly insane child forged by tragedy. He deserves to live."

‎The Comedic Surprise

‎Kanami's exhaustion after the long test was absolute. He had collapsed onto his futon and was fast asleep.

‎In the middle of the night, Nezuko crawled out of her box and, like a child seeking comfort, crawled into Kanami's bed. She found a space and snuggled up.

‎However, over the last few weeks, Nezuko had been instinctively adjusting her size to the limited space of the box. Now, feeling unrestricted and seeking maximum comfort, her demonic body began to revert to her true, adult form.

‎Kanami was suddenly jolted awake. He felt like he was suffocating. His face was completely engulfed in Nezuko's beautifully developed chest, which was now pressing against his face like a pair of giant, soft pillows.

‎"Gah! I can't breathe! What the" Kanami thought, muffled and panicked. His nose was jammed against her shoulder, and the overwhelming scent of a warm, grown woman, not a little girl, it was burning his senses.

‎He scrambled backward, tumbling off the futon and onto the floor in a humiliated heap. He looked up to see Nezuko now full-sized, wearing her tattered kimono, and possessing a famously well-developed, beautiful figure, looking down at him with an innocent, concerned tilt of her head.

‎Kanami's entire face flushed bright red. His high Charm stat offered no defense against sheer embarrassment.

‎"Nezu... Nezuko-chan! You... you're big! Go... go back to your futon! Quickly!" Kanami stammered, pointing a frantic finger at Nezuko's futon. Nezuko, sensing his distress, obediently shrank back down to her small form and nestled back into her futon, leaving Kanami lying on the floor, heart pounding, utterly mortified. "haah...sigh whether it's my original world or here, it's still hard for me to stay calm when I see girls like that. Well... I need to increase my Will stats, so I won't get charm by girls and demons easily. It's hard to be an introvert... Kanami Thought.

‎A New Start and Shared Stories

‎Days later, Tanjiro returned. He was bruised, exhausted, but triumphant, smelling strongly of wisteria and the blood of demons. He had passed the Final Selection.

‎The three shared a heartwarming reunion. Over a feast of fresh wild boar and rice that Kanami had hunted, they shared their stories.

‎Tanjiro spoke of the terror of the Final Selection, the kindness of the spirits Sabito and Makomo, and the horror of the Hand Demon.

‎Kanami, in turn, described how he had guarded Nezuko and helped Urokodaki, carefully recounting the epic three-hour test duel with Urokodaki.

‎"Urokodaki-sama was testing my Devouring Style," Kanami explained. "He hit me with everything, and I had to fight back with sheer will and everything I had learned." Kanami glanced at Urokodaki, who just grunted in confirmation. "I even learned to copy some of the Water Breathing forms just from watching him fight."

‎Tanjiro was stunned. "You copied the forms! You really are the strongest!"

‎The next day, the swordsmith Haganezuka arrived. Tanjiro received his uniform and his famous black Nichirin blade. Kanami also unboxed his reward from the system: a custom, high-quality Demon Slayer uniform in black and red, embroidered with gold dragon patterns, a matching gold hair tie and dragon clip, and three pieces of Nichirin ore.

‎The time for preparation was over.

‎Kanami and tanjiro travel to investigate some missing cases of the girl on a village and fought with the twin shadow demon, they cleared it with the help of Nezuko. Also as they travel, they also stumbled on Muzan disguising as a human. They also met Tamayo and her assistant.

Time skip

Tanjiro secured the now-shrinking Nezuko in her box. Kanami, wearing his new, dramatic uniform, hoisted his unique black sword.

‎They walked for hours before hearing a commotion on a nearby roadside. There, kneeling on the dirt, was a boy with shocking yellow hair, dressed in a standard Demon Slayer uniform, clutching a girl's leg and wailing.

‎"Please, marry me! I might die soon! Marry me!" Zenitsu Agatsuma screamed, completely ignoring his frustrated Sparrow companion struggling to relay a message.

‎Tanjiro, appalled, walked over. Kanami, however, simply leaned against a tree, his higher Charm (13) stat allowing him to look effortlessly cool and collected despite the absurdity.

‎"Tanjiro," Kanami sighed, pulling out a rice ball. "The world is full of strange demons, and equally strange people. Let's start with the strange people."

‎Kanami, after giving Zenitsu a cold, hard look that made the terrified boy instantly back off, offered the distraught girl one of the rice balls he had packed. Beautiful lady, this is a riceball I made, I hope you can forgive this young man.He then tossed Zenitsu a piece of freshly roasted wild boar from his pack. "Eat," Kanami commanded. "And listen to your bird. You're disgracing the Corps." "Yeah! Look at your bird companion's suffering! He said that you are a pain in the A**!

‎Zenitsu look apologetic, "Does my bird really said that? H-how can you understand a bird?" Zenitsu asked while looking at Tanjiro.

‎"I just know" Tanjiro replied while still listening to the bird's complain.

‎With two slayers now watching, Zenitsu reluctantly gathered his courage, and the three of them.Tanjiro, Kanami, and the wailing Zenitsu, set off for their first joint mission.
