The Master of Demons
Tanjiro and Kanami, with Nezuko in her box, arrived in the bustling, neon-lit city of Asakusa.
"Tanjiro," Kanami whispered, his hand resting on the hilt of his single Heaven's Devour blade. "The stench of demon blood here is suffocating. Something incredibly powerful is close."
The moment Muzan Kibutsuji passed by, Kanami felt an invisible force pin him to the spot.
> SYSTEM (Critical Mission): Do Not Disrupt the Main Plot.
> Goal: Allow Muzan Kibutsuji to escape the immediate confrontation.
> Failure: Timeline Reset/Death.
Kanami froze, watching in agonizing stillness as Muzan created a chaotic diversion by turning a passerby into a demon. Tanjiro, in a rage, rushed forward. Kanami had to respect the command, despite his fury. He watched as Muzan slipped away into the crowd.

Tamayo's Home: An Intervention
Yushiro, Tamayo's assistant, led the two slayers to the peaceful residence. Kanami was focused, knowing the crucial nature of this meeting.
Yushiro immediately targeted Nezuko. "Master Tamayo, why have you brought such an ugly demon into your house? She's repulsive!"
Tanjiro exploded in comedic fury. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?! Nezuko is the most beautiful girl in our village and the whole wide world! You can ask Kanami! She's the best and cutest! I'll fight you!"
Kanami intervened to break the tension, using his high Charm . He leaned in, a sly smirk on his face "Now, now, Yushiro-san. We understand your harshness. It's because you're completely devoted to, and hopelessly in love with, your beautiful Master Tamayo, isn't it?"
Yushiro's face went crimson. "W-WHAT?! How dare you! I will destroy you!" He lunged.
Kanami simply activated his superior Speed
Kanami vanished from his spot. Yushiro flew past, bewildered. Kanami reappeared instantly behind the demon, his single, powerful Heaven's Devour blade resting the flat of the sword against Yushiro's neck.
"Control yourself," Kanami murmured, his voice firm. "We are allies. Do not assault my comrades."
Yushiro, utterly subdued by the overwhelming speed and raw power, retreated, his love-struck embarrassment complete. Tamayo watched the entire exchange with quiet fascination.
The Attack and Kanami's Limited Arsenal
As Tamayo began discussing the cure, the attack came. Susamaru (the Temari Demon) and Yahaba (the Arrow Demon) launched their chaotic assault.
Kanami immediately took a defensive stance near Tamayo. "Stay close to me, Doctor," he commanded, drawing his blade.
> SYSTEM (New Mission): Protect the Doctor.
> Goal: Protect Tamayo from any hostile action, and only intervene in Tanjiro or Nezuko's fight if their lives are in direct danger.
> Reward: Physique upgrade.
The battle was desperate. Tanjiro struggled with the complex directional arrows and the deadly Temari balls. Kanami was forced to rely on his limited arsenal of two forms:
* Form 1: Devouring Gale - First Fang: Pure, focused power strike.
* Form 2: Crimson Soul - Blood Feast: Continuous, fast-paced attack aimed at consuming essence.
Kanami was a blur of movement, using his exceptional Speed and Luck to dodge attacks, but he could only risk intervening when the danger was absolute.
Near the end of the long struggle, when Susamaru launched a final, powerful Temari ball directly at Tamayo, Kanami knew he couldn't hold back. He shot forward with blinding speed.
Kanami: Heavenly Demonic Devouring, Form 2: Crimson Soul - Blood Feast!
He met the Temari ball with a flurry of precise, concentrated slashes. The power of the Devouring technique tore the ball apart just inches from Tamayo's head, consuming the explosive essence and giving Kanami a much-needed, momentary power surge.
The rest of the fight concluded as originally planned, with Tanjiro's final strategic Water Breathing attack and Susamaru's tragic death by Muzan's curse.
Also as on the original story, Tanjiro console the dying demon, giving it's Temari ball back.
