***The next day*****
"Chirp, chirp" the chirping of birds drifted into the room as the sun stood high in the sky bathing the earth in its glory. The curtain was swung wide open enough for the sun ray to reach the bed. "Uughhh" Alpha Matt groaned shielding his eyes from the sun with the back of his hands, he propped himself up with his elbows squinting his eyes as it adjusts to the light.
"Good morning Uncle Matt" Vi greeted standing right in front of him.
"(Yawns) Good morning Vi, why are you up so early?" He asked turning his head toward the night stand to check the time.
"It's already 12 noon" Violet replied scratching her head as she felt awkward.
"Ooh, where's Dan?" He asked looking around. "I don't know, I haven't set my eyes on him since I got up" she replied. Matt decided to sniff out his son, the scent led him under the bed, he moved towards the edge bending down as he pulled the still sleeping boy by his leg letting him hang upside down.
This caused the boy to stare awake, his brain seemed foggy as he reacted slowly.
"Dad!!! Can you let me down please?" He said as he swayed. "Alright" Alpha Matt said as he let go of the boy making him fall head first on the floor. "Ouch, what was that for?" He looked at his Dad clearly offended. "You asked me to let you go didn't you?" His dad said staring tauntingly at him. " I did but not like that" Dan said puffing out his cheeks and crossing his arms which made him look really cute, this little gesture made tears escape the Alpha's eyes for that same gesture reminds him of his wife, his heart aches as Onyx howled in pain as he longs for his mate.
"Uncle, why are you crying?" Violet asked concern evident in her voice as she moved forward to pat his hunched back. Dan also moved close hugging his dad. "Dad are you crying because of mom? Don't cry anymore, we will make mom happy by becoming stronger like you said, right Vi?" Dan tried to console his dad as he tries to reassure him. This made the already crying man tear up again but this time it was tears of pride.
"Yeah, we will make them proud" Vi said clutching her fist an throwing it in the air to express her interest.
"Alright guys, training starts tomorrow, I'll prepare a teacher for you and Dan. Vi, i know you're finding it hard to adapt with the changes but you might one day awaken your inner Wolf and if you don't it doesn't matter cus you can still defend yourself" Matt said trying to encourage his little niece.
"I think I have, the day I was brought here I started hearing a voice in my head and she mentioned being my wolf, she introduced herself as Alara and she has been my biggest support since I lost my parents" pausing as she realised Uncle Matt was actually her biggest support. "And you too Uncle Matt" she added making him smile.
"Alright then, let's try the mind link first" he suggested looking straight at his niece.
'Hello Vi, can you hear me?' He mind linked testing if her wolf truly awakened or she needed psychological help.
"I can hear you" she said beaming with smiles. "What just happened?" She asked clearly amused. "That is telepathy but we call it mind link, everyone within a pack can mind link each other and it is a good form of secrecy." He patiently explained.
"Try holding a conversation with Dan through the mind link, to do that you need to focus as you imagine a thread connecting you to the person...." As he was explaining Evan barged into the room panting.
" Matt! Two kids were reported missing and a vampire was caught roaming on the pack grounds, he has been thrown into the silver cage. We found this on him" Evan said stretching out his hand to show a golden ring and something like a token used in ancient Asia with the symbol of a red dragon on it.
"It's the same ring the vampires from the invasion all had on, he must also be a newly bred vampire like the others but he seems to hold a significant position because of his token." Evan analysed as he tried connecting the dots.
Hearing all that has been said Matt's killing intent increased, the thought of them killing his family and going scot-free only fueled his rage. "Not only did they take my family from me but they also invaded my pack to steal children? Oh okay, let the battle begin" he said gritting his teeth and clenching his fist making his veins bulge. "Tell Sam to double the security around the pack and he should set a patrol team to patrol the Southern and Western parts of the pack".
'Gale come to my office right away' he mind linked putting on his shirt. "Kids, come with me to my office" he said as he exits the bedroom.
The pack house is like that of a high end hotel, with many rooms and windows, the exterior is of that of a five story building with stretched sides forming a curve around the pool. Every room has its own kitchen, bathroom and living room. The entrance leads to the Pack's main living room instead of a reception. The Alpha naturally lives at the top floor where his office is also located.
On getting to the office, Gale was already positioned at the door. He is a young man in his early 20's with extremely good features. His blonde hair looks golden, his green eyes complimenting his hair, his skin looks slightly pale enhancing his already good looks."Your speed has increased significantly Gale, keep up the good work." Matt said clearly impressed. "Thank you Alpha Matt" Gale replied bowing a little with his right hand placed to his chest. "Good morning Beta" he greeted Derek as he straightens his posture. He opened the door to Matt's office making way for the group of four to enter before he entered himself.
As the Alpha settled on his sit, he gestured for the remaining four to sit. "Gale, meet your new students" he said gesturing to the two 10 year olds. "Kids meet you teacher, since you both desire to get stronger, I decided to let you train directly under the captain of the Pack's elite team" he said as he examined the expression of the two kids in front of him.
Vi had an expression of pure determination mixed with excitement, while Dan had a devastated expression on his face. 'Seems like he's familiar with the elite training method' Matt thought chuckling in the process.
"Since my work here is done, I'll go deal with that stinky leech" Alpha Matt said standing up from his sit. "Dad can we come with you?" Dan asked giving his Dad his cutest puppy eyes. Matt's heart was touched as he imagined his son to be a cute wolf pup in Wolf form. "Yes Uncle Matt, I still need a tour around the pack" Vi said trying to convince him. "The dungeon is no place for kids but I can make an exception" he said pinching their cheeks.
{At the Crescent moon underground dungeon}
The group of five moved through the dimly lit dungeon as they moved towards where the prisoner was kept. A foul smell mixed with the smell of rust hung in the air of the dungeon making it look eerie.
A chill ran down Violet's spine as she felt extremely creeped out, she only saw scenes like this in movies and trust me when I say she can't stand horror.
After walking for a while, they finally halted in front of a cell with strong silver bars. The design of the cell was insane, the floor of the cell was silver leaving only a small boxed tile in the middle. A man in Black was standing right on the tile, he lifts his head to see his visitors.
"Well well well, if it isn't the dogs. Ooh you came with puppies? Ahh I'm so scared" the vampire taunted making their dislike for him to only increase. "You better shut that mouth of yours you blood sucking leech" Gale said loosing his cool. "Oh Gale, is this how to treat an old friend?" The vampire said clutching his heart to feign pain. "Shut up! You're not my friend you never were" he yelled at the vampire moving forward with a wooden stake as he struck him in the stomach making the vampire to groan as he laughs maniacally. Alpha Matt and Evan stopped the agitated Gale as they moved him back, Matt used his authority as Alpha to command him stop, as a member of the pack he was forced to oblige.
Clearing his throat, Matt decided to take matters into his own hands. "Tell me dirty leech, who is your master?" He said staring at the vampire who looks like dead meat to him. "Look at me, do I look like I'm obliged to respond to you?" The vampire said sarcastically. "Alright then, I guess I'll have to do it the hard way" Matt said clearly pissed by how much ego the vampire before him has. 'Lenon, switch on the death mode' he mind linked the guard responsible for monitoring the prison. 'Yes Alpha' lenon replied and did as he was instructed.
The walls of the cell the vampire was in switched to silver and the tile he was standing on also switched to silver, a sizzling sound was heard as smoke started drifting from his foot making him jump from the burns only to land on the wall causing is back to burn in the process.
As screams filled the air so did laughter, Dan and Vi who were once intimidated started laughing due to how funny the vampire movements were.
When the vampire was beyond recognition Alpha Matt finally asked Lenon to turn off the death mode button. The floor and walls of the cell finally turned normal, the floor was also changed to just normal cemented floor as the iron floors retracted into the wall.
"Are you ready to speak now?" He asked using a long ruler to lift the chard face of the vampire. The already weak and exhausted vampire looked up, pain evident in his pitch back eyes. "I will die if I say his name" the vampire finally replied. 'You will die here anyway' Matt thought as he rolled his eyes.
"Is it the same master that is behind the massacre that took place six days ago?" He asked the question he most wanted to hear. "Yes, he and a group of elders" the vampire said his voice going back to normal. "Why are they kidnapping children?" He asked fearing for the safety of his pack but he got no answer. "Lenon turn it on" he said looking towards the inconspicuous camera on the wall of the passage. "Wait, wait" the vampire said not wanting to go through what he just went through. Matt lifted his hand towards the camera in a stop gesture. "Speak" he demanded.
"I don't know much but there is a legend that says the daughter of the moon with immense power enough to destroy a whole Kingdom will be born. According to the Legend the daughter of the moon will be identified by her purple eyes and only she can defeat the greatest vampires that ever lived. Ever since the prophecy was given the Elders have been building their armies by kidnapping and turning children and enhancing their strength through experiments. The Elders are still searching for the girl with purple eyes till this day" he said his eyes settled on Violet making everyone turn to look at her at the same time making the little girl shiver in fear.
