Chapter 5 - Phase Five

Today we had practical and as a stray kid I always carry backup to school and by backup I mean I am never and by never I mean never on the right attire for practicals.

The right attire would be, for the girls we wear corporate attires like skirt, gowns and corporate top then the boys they wear corporate trousers and shirt or dress suit, flat shoes, canvas are also allowed.

We aren't supposed to put on jeans, tight skirts, tight gowns, short skirts or short gowns, no skinny fit trousers.

For our footwear's open ones like flip-flops, slippers, crocs, loafers, pams, sandals, etc are not allowed.

This rules I repeat are not for me cause I am a stray kid, so normally am always on a non-corporate attires like a pair of shorts, a polo, slippers and a laid down hair but one thing is for sure my backup will always be in my bag.

I do this not because I am a nonchalant student but because I seek my own comfort so is it bad to seek ones comfort?

Getting to the lab I went to the lab restroom to change to my white skirt which I brought as backup for my black shorts and flat shoes which I also brought as backup for my slippers.

I know I'd be very uncomfortable in but there is nothing I can do about it or else I want to be ticked absent and then fail the course.

I also had to wrap my hair as long hairs are not allowed in the lab as them getting in contact with the chemicals won't be good.

After changing, I came out to meet the boys who were waiting for me in front of the lab. The lecturer has not started teaching so I had time to greet some people I knew while the boys went to find seats.

I winced in pain when i sat down on my seat and I think something went wrong with my injury. Also I think i yelped when I sat down out of pain.

Everybody in the lab turned to my direction immediately I yelped and the boys left whatever they were doing to know what happened.

Before they could get to were I was I had already hidden myself under the table and had already started crying.

Why was I crying? Remember when I said I don't cry in public, well I didn't know what to do at the moment and the pain was paining so crying just felt like the right thing to do.

I tell you, I just kept asking myself, what did I do wrong to deserve this? That was the question I kept asking myself and the boys tried everything to make sure I stopped asking that question when they got to were I was under the table.

I was trying my possible best not to make a sound and I don't think that was working as I heard someone ask Jason why I was crying.

George went to our course rep Sammie to tick our names present so that they could take me home, when he came back he assisted Jason in helping me with my things.

Standing up I realised that my white skirt was stained with blood so there and then I changed to my baggy short then we left, leaving everyone to wonder what just happened.

On the way Jason opted that we go to the hospital to which I refused cause I wanted to go home and rest, but George was not hearing any of what I was saying and he was the driver so they drove me to the hospital.

When we arrived we met the nurses who re-stitched my wound and gave me the medication prescribed by the doctor I met immediately we got to the hospital.

After that we went home, I didn't bother going anywhere cause I was tired and if I would have gone somewhere it would be later around 3 o'clock.

That's football training's time.

I slept off at George place and for the record this is the first time am sleeping here. Anyways I set an alarm cause I ain't missing football training for any reason.

"Ring"!! "ring"!! "ring"!! "ring"!! was what woke me up from my sleep, that was my alarm clock though. I got up and went to take a bath to prepare myself for football training.

After bathing I went to the sitting room to see the boys on their phones basically preparing themselves for their training and their movement to the training field.

When they noticed my presence they asked if I was hungry, I told them that I was but I would buy something to eat on the way to the field.

They were not interested in what I had to say as far as it involved me stepping outside the house in my condition.

So I had to play smart by calling Erin in pretense of wanting to confirm if there would still be training today, when the boys noticed what I was doing they tried telling him that I won't be coming for training to which Erin asked why and when they didn't give a response I smiled.

Why? because I knew that they wouldn't tell Erin what happened and they also can't tell him I am sick because I was just talking to him and besides I called first.

On the way we stopped at a restaurant and ordered takeouts so I could eat, we also bought lots of fruits cause the doctor said I needed lots of them. With the bip, the first aid kit and the ball we made our way to the field.

"One, Two, Three..... Ten.... Fifteen... Twenty..... Twenty-five... Thirty." I was counting because Erin and Cristin our coach were involved in a push up competition and I was the judge of the competition.

I just knew who was gonna win but I didn't want to say thus I kept cheering both of them up.

Those that placed their bets were holding their chests in their hands because if any of them lost their money they would be gone.

Puff just like that.

Anyways Erin lost stopping at twenty-seven while claiming Cristin the winner, I kinda knew Erin would lose because he has been training, running laps, jogging, etc earlier while Cristin was just yelling out orders so I knew he was tried and spent.

Those that placed a bet on Erin lost so they paid what they owned.

After the competition everybody washed up their belongings and we said goodbyes and we went back to George's house.
