Chapter 13 - 13

For a moment, the crowd felt a strange sense of balance restored.

The heavily made-up woman scoffed, her voice dripping with disdain. "What's the point of looking so good if you still get ruined?"

"Wow, such a beauty… and she ended up with a rapist," a sleazy-looking man muttered, eyes following Qin Qinghan's slender figure with a mix of regret and lust.

Qin Qinghan had long grown accustomed to such ridicule. All she wanted now was to get her daughter and leave this place as quickly as possible.

Then Ye Fengwu arrived, striding toward them with a terrifying scowl. Only now did he fully understand why Qin Qinghan had been so anxious, why she kept glancing at the time in the car. She had known this would happen. One could only imagine how much ridicule and humiliation she and her daughter had endured over the past eight years.

Ye Fengwu stepped in front of Qin Qinghan, blocking her from rushing back to the car.

Tears glimmered in her eyes as she pleaded, "Please… let us go."

But Ye Fengwu didn't budge an inch. His voice was low and dangerous. "I can't let you leave just like that."

He lifted his hand and wiped the saliva off Jing Si's face, his expression a mix of guilt and fury. Qin Qinghan felt a pang in her chest. His concern for Jing Si seemed deeper than for anyone else, except her. What drove him to care so fiercely?

Ye Fengwu circled around Qin Qinghan and stopped in front of the very people who had just mocked and humiliated mother and daughter. The crowd stared, confused, unsure who this tall, imposing man was.

Like a predator approaching its prey, Ye Fengwu's presence made the children freeze, pressing themselves against their parents instinctively. Even the adults, who had been smug moments before, found themselves uneasy.

Finally, Ye Fengwu's eyes locked onto one boy, the one who had spat on Jing Si and cursed her mother. His voice was deep and lethal: "You spat on my daughter… and called her mother a dirty woman, didn't you?"

The boy, overwhelmed by the sheer intensity in Ye Fengwu's gaze, couldn't even form words.

"Mom… I… I'm scared…"

The boy's fear erupted into sobs. The other children who had taunted Jing Si trembled and began crying as well.

The mothers, enraged, shouted. One pointed a finger at Ye Fengwu. "Who do you think you are? What my kids say is none of your business! If you scare my son, I won't forgive you!"

Ye Fengwu's eyes narrowed. "And yet, you let your kids speak such hurtful words. Does that not concern you?"

The woman huffed arrogantly. "What's it to you? Besides, my kid spoke the truth! Everyone knows Qin Qinghan is a dirty woman ruined by a rapist!"

Smack!

Her words barely left her mouth before a resounding slap sent her flying over three meters.

Howl!

She hit the ground with a bone-jarring crash. Her jaw dislocated, several teeth shattered and fell to the pavement. Panic and disbelief washed over her—who could have imagined someone would hit her in broad daylight?

The boy collapsed to the ground, crying uncontrollably, wetting himself. Even the other children who had mocked Jing Si were so terrified they stepped back, hiding their faces, praying not to attract Ye Fengwu's wrath.

Ye Fengwu surveyed the scene, his voice cutting through the tension. "Children who grow up without guidance are a parent's fault. I won't hit you… but those who humiliated my daughter and wife—go apologize, now."

Qin Qinghan could barely believe what she was witnessing. Ye Fengwu was standing up for her and Jing Si, his anger and care both painfully real.

"What's going on?" a middle-aged man demanded, striding forward. He froze when he saw the woman sprawled on the ground, teeth shattered, jaw crooked, blood seeping from her ear. His eyes immediately locked on Ye Fengwu.

"This happened at the school entrance… did you do this?" he barked.

A sleazy man hurried over. "Principal Liu, this man claims to be Qin Jing Si's father. He hit the mother and wants us to apologize to Jing Si and her mother."

The man was Liu Fu, the greasy, corrupt school principal. His eyes gleamed with a mixture of lechery and satisfaction as he looked at Qin Qinghan, a glance Ye Fengwu caught immediately.

Liu Fu turned on Ye Fengwu. "You're going too far. Wait until you end up in jail."

Ye Fengwu's eyes went cold. "As an educator, don't you ask why this happened? You humiliated my daughter. That's your idea of teaching?"

Liu Fu's face contorted. "You're Qin Jing Si's father? I thought her dad was a rapist. And all these accusations are true. Isn't it my duty to teach the children reality?"

Ye Fengwu's gaze swept over the crowd. "The truth is, a rapist ruined a woman's life, and you're making it worse. How are you any different from him?"

Several people lowered their heads. Even Qin Qinghan felt a stir in her chest. A man capable of such violence—yet he spoke with such clarity and justice.

Liu Fu sneered. "I take responsibility for the class. I'm doing them a favor by letting this rapist's daughter attend my school. And now she dares hit someone? I'm calling the police!"

He fumbled for his phone.

Crack!

Ye Fengwu's hand crushed the phone in an instant, splintering the screen. Liu Fu screamed in pain, fear replacing arrogance.

"Calling the cops, huh? Might as well lose one thing to teach a lesson," Ye Fengwu said with dark amusement.

Smack!

Another resounding slap sent Liu Fu flying five meters. His face smashed into the pavement. Teeth shattered. Blood poured from his ear—an unmistakable eardrum rupture.

The surrounding crowd froze. The message was clear: Ye Fengwu did not tolerate cruelty toward his family.
