Julia's POV
"Gavin, let me go! Stop this right now!" I pressed my palms against his chest, pushing with everything I had, but his arms locked around me tighter, like steel bands I couldn't break free from.
"God, I've missed you," he breathed against my ear, his voice rough and desperate. His lips moved frantically across my cheek, down to my throat, leaving a trail of kisses that felt more like claims than affection.
"Don't touch me, Gavin! Get away from me!" The words tore from my throat, sharp with fury. My whole body went rigid as I shoved against him again, but he only pulled me closer.
His forehead dropped to mine, his breathing uneven, his grip unrelenting. "Please, Julia... I can't do this anymore. I can't stay away." His voice cracked, broken and raw, and despite my rage, something twisted painfully in my chest.
Then his expression hardened. His eyes went dark, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "Get in the car."
