Gavin's POV
We arrived at the house, and honestly, I hadn't experienced this sense of completeness in ages. It felt like every piece of my world was finally clicking into place without any effort on my part. Julia was here with me, actually planning to spend the night, we weren't battling each other or creating distance like we usually did, and she wore my mark on her throat, a constant reminder with every look that she belonged to me.
I kept my arm wrapped around her waist as we moved through the corridor because releasing her wasn't an option, not even briefly. But then she paused and began heading toward her bedroom, which made me frown.
"Where are you going?" I questioned, maintaining my grip on her hand.
She turned back with a look that suggested I was being unreasonable. "To my bedroom, obviously."
I laughed because I assumed she was being playful, but when she continued moving in that direction, I shook my head firmly. "You mean our room, don't you?"
