Chapter 26 - Wrong Attraction

Tomura Shigaraki opened his eyes from his deep sleep, staring at the ceiling with a blank expression. He gently slid his hand under the sheets, delicately feeling a specific area of his body.

A touch, a feeling, a response. Pain. But it wasn't a bad kind of pain.

—God...— he sighed, relaxing his tense posture and clenched jaw. He got up carefully, noticing the dull ache coming from that area. He also noticed that he wasn't wearing pants.

Instead, he had a kind of diaper that safeguarded his 'jewels' in a liquid that cushioned every movement he made. It was like having his balls stored in a layer of amber.

Shigaraki walked out into a small bar area, where he was greeted by the figure of Kurogiri, who was on the other side of the counter and turned in his direction.

A kind of tremor ran through the mist of his body, as if he were trying to contain laughter. Yes, that's what he was doing.

—Fuck you!— Shigaraki spat, and Kurogiri burst into laughter, doubling over on the floor and clutching his sides.

—Ha, hahahaha, hahaha! S-sorry... That's, ahh, this is terrible, I'm sorry— he apologized while containing his laughter again.

—It's good that you've woken up, Tomura— All For One's voice came from a screen. Shigaraki turned awkwardly in place, like a penguin, to face his mentor.

He had the feeling that even his Master's tone was gleaming with amusement, but he dismissed the idea. All For One laughing? That in itself is cause for laughter. Right?

—Master, I failed the mission. I wasn't even there to see if All Might came, but judging by my condition— he pointed to his waist, where the giant diaper and the sack of liquid protecting his balls slightly swayed. —I must assume the Nomu lost to him.

—Yes, you failed. But don't be too disappointed, Tomura. You can learn from failure, so take this experience, see where you went wrong, and don't make the same mistakes in the future— All For One advised.

—Next time... I'll kill that brat— Shigaraki muttered coldly.

—And wear protection for that, you know— Kurogiri commented.

On the other side of the monitor, All For One was contemplating the information they had acquired. Indeed, All Might had lost his strength, but due to the intervention of Tetsumaru and Mei, the crucial factor of the story: the successor to One For All was still unknown to him.

Since Deku did not capture Shigaraki's attention and did not use One For All during those events, his head was not yet on the target list. And as the shinobi had guessed, by not fully showing their abilities, they also did not attract the attention of the Demon Lord.

Sure, tearing out the Nomu's eyes and managing to evade it until All Might's appearance could be considered quite a feat, but at most, All For One considered them high-level future heroes.

Dangerous, but ultimately inconsequential. There was no need to delve further into the matter, and he would simply wait for reports from his mole, Aoyama.

—Tetsumaru! Are you okay?— Izuku jumped up when he saw the Terumi siblings enter the classroom, immediately drawing the attention of his classmates. The boy froze under the intense gaze of the black-haired teen.

Before Tetsumaru could answer, he found himself surrounded by some of his classmates, all with expressions of worry or interest.

They hadn't been able to get any information out of him because the police had dragged the siblings to a separate location and they were subsequently escorted to UA in a different patrol car to meet with Nezu.

—Yes, everything is fine— he replied laconically. The others gave him doubtful looks.

—Tch, conceited bastard— Bakugo growled from his seat with a scowl and looked in another direction. Everyone decided to completely ignore him.

—Man, from what the others said, you were incredible against that monster— Kirishima said excitedly, approaching the black-haired teen and slinging his arm around his neck.

—Who would have thought the quiet guy would be so strong?

—Hmph! That coward was just running from that chicken, nothing special!— Bakugo exclaimed, but was ignored again.

—Hm, but Mei was also incredible, tearing the eyes out of that monster— Tsuyu said unfiltered, and the others became uncomfortable.

Those who witnessed the moment Terumi Mei ripped out the eyeballs with her bare hands couldn't help but shudder.

—Fufufu, nothing special. They grew back anyway, so it was pretty useless— Mei commented with a dismissive wave of her hand.

Further back in the classroom, the figure of Todoroki shivered as he recalled all the times he had paid attention to the reddish-brown-haired girl. From the incident with the strange book to the brutal kick she delivered to that villain's groin.

Endeavor's son found himself stealing some casual glances at the girl. He thought he was being discreet, but there was one person who noticed this and couldn't help but cover her mouth in embarrassment.

Fortunately, no one could see her in the first place, so she smiled with amusement at the unexpected turn of events.

After Mina, Kirishima, and Tsuyu's fruitless attempts to get more explanations regarding Tetsumaru's fight, movements, and Quirk, the class sat expectantly for their teacher's arrival.

Aizawa, much less injured than in the original story, announced the opportunities that came with the Sports Festival.

The rest of the day was boring as hell for the Terumi siblings, who maintained a dull conversation with each other and completely ignored the most irrelevant subjects.

—Depending on the circumstances, I might have to reveal my Futton— Mei argued to her other half. Tetsumaru nodded mentally.

—It's possible. But if we're lucky, we won't have to go that far— the black-haired boy replied.

—So, it's settled? Put on a show, make our opponents look good, and culminate with our fight— Mei listed.

—Yes. There's no point in stealing the spotlight in the finals. In fact, if we can reach the quarterfinals and end the matter there, even better— Tetsumaru confirmed.

—Hm, but Mom and Dad will be sad if we don't win— she reminded him.

—I know, Mei, but we didn't come to this world to steal the spotlight. It would be worse than negligent to act, even knowing what is hiding there. Worse still, we have no idea about the other villains besides the evil All Might.

—Fiiine~ Mei sighed in defeat. Unlike her less emotional other half, Mei had gotten excited about the idea of becoming one of those OP protagonists that appear so often in novels.

But a short, irrelevant life of doing whatever she pleased without worrying about the consequences was nothing compared to the eternity of peace she now knew existed on the other side.

—By the way, as soon as we get out of here, I'm going to visit Hatsume. I need to see how she's doing with my order— Tetsumaru added casually. Mei's eyelids trembled, but she forced herself to calm down.

There was no reason to distrust her other half and that stinky girl with no respect for personal space. No, Mei wasn't going to sink so low as to become one of those crazy possessive types.

At least, that's what she promised herself as her pen snapped in her grip, startling Mineta, who was stealing glances in her direction, and Todoroki, who was doing the same without realizing it.
